About:

Stapp Interstate Toyota Logo

When we opened in Longmont, Colorado in 1974 we knew that we could create a customer first approach to purchasing a new, certified pre-owned or pre-owned vehicle. Like you we didn’t feel that being handed off to multiple people in the dealership to complete one transaction was the best way to build relationships with our customers. We believe that having one Sales Associate from start to finish allows our team to customize your experience. From selecting the perfect vehicle, accessorizing and securing financing, you are with one person. Your Sales Associate will be with you every step of the way to make the process seamless and tailored just for you.

I am based in Texas and specifically called Toyota dealerships in Colorado to ask about a high demand vehicle that was hardly being allocated to my state. I have family in the Denver area, so I figured that it would be easier to fly there to handle paperwork if the dealership could find me a vehicle that I was after. I stated my communication out by specifically asking if this Stapp Toyota sold to out of state buyers and after explaining which vehicle I was after, I was told to submit my driver’s license information + a $1,000 deposit (which they charged my credit card for) ALMOST 9-10 MONTHS AGO. After getting updates every 2 weeks from my sales consultant (Whitney Wolfe) for a solid 9 months, I get a phone call from Ron Fifer (Executive Sales Manager – New Vehicles) that it is their policy to not sell this particular vehicle to out of state buyers as they don’t get allocated very many. Now I understand the dealership wanting to keep this vehicle for their own market/area, but WHY wasn’t this communicated to me when I initially gave up my personal information and put down a deposit 9 months ago? Also, why wasn’t I told this during the course of the 9 months that I waited?? There are currently 25+ people at this dealership in either operational/sales management or sales staff roles, and when hardly any new vehicles are being allocated to this dealership by Toyota corporate (due to the chip crisis), why isn’t anybody looking over the list of the buyers that have been waiting more than half a year for a vehicle to come in for them? What have the folks at this dealership been doing this entire time? Put at least one person on that duty to review buyers!! I was then informed that since I’ve been waiting for so long, they would discuss my particular case with upper management to see if they can make an exemption. Well come to find out, these owners/management staff don’t care that I’ve been waiting for so long and gave up a large chunk of money (and time) to their dealership for 9 months. They no longer wanted to consider me as a potential buyer/customer and simply wanted to return the deposit that I made. During this long wait period, I could have used this money for SO many other things in life or simply invested it, where I could have made a higher return rather than simply to have my money returned while we undergo record high inflation (meaning it no longer holds the same value). Shame on this leadership team and shame on their lack of operations. I hope they hold a dealership wide meeting and LEARN from this mistake as this negative review is a reflection of their lack of oversight on their processes.

I had the best experience ever buying a vehicle at Stapp Toyota. Whitney was our salesperson and she made me a deal I couldn’t refuse. She communicated so well before the sale we hardly had to do anything the day we picked it up. Whitney is a no pressure salesperson and I’ll buy all my cars with her in the future. Let her know what you need and she’ll make it happen. I’m thrilled with my Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid.

Overall our purchase experience was good and we're having a lot of fun owning and customizing our new RAV4 Hybrid XSE. In the current car buying market things can be tricky and Stapp was able to get us the vehicle we wanted with the trim that we wanted quicker than any other Toyota dealership in the northern front range at MSRP + $600 dealer fee + tax. Not screaming good deal, but not a horrible deal either all things considered. Several dealerships in the state have a market markup for anything Hybrid because inventory is so low. Our sale associate was easy to work with and not overly pushy, which I appreciated, but not overly thorough either. I do wish that a bit more time would have been spent going over the vehicle and a bit less time reviewing prepaid service and extended warranty options. The vehicle has been great with just a few very minor things to note. The front right panel appears to be very slightly misaligned. I noticed this in another RAV4 from Stapp as well. Inspecting it closely there was a tiny bit of plastic wrap attached at the seam. Just guessing, but I believe that when the protective plastic from transportation was being removed it held on extra tight which caused the panel to pull and misalign slightly. The other thing to note, which is an XSE issue, not a Stapp issue, is the blue paint on the suspension very very low quality and scratches and chips almost immediately. This is a well know issues among XSE owners, but I was hoping that the 2022 models or mine would be the exception, but unfortunately it is not. I am guessing that most people wouldn't even notice this. Lastly, the XSE mixed media interior is beautiful, but the driver and passenger seat material is very loose. It appears almost like a seat cover, rather than a factory seat. I am hoping that with time the material will relax and fit better. I will mentioned these at my first 5K service and we'll see if there's anything that can be done.

Best experience I've had buying a new car. Stapp Interstate is THE Toyota dealer to go to in Northern Colorado. Plus, they didn't markup my GR86!!

I had an awesome buying experience! Make sure you ask for Drew. He’s awesome. He took great care of me. No Siennas are available near me and are 1 year or longer wait. I was able to get one after just a couple months wait at Stapp. Drew even picked me up at the airport. Talk about going above and beyond! Whole process was fast and smooth. Everything was exactly as they said it would be.

Bought my car here about a year ago and have had it serviced multiple times. 1) buying here is pretty quick and simple 2) they under value trade ins so I recommend selling somewhere else 3) their service department is quick and courteous 4) no haggle which has advantages and disadvantages. Overall, good folks and great facility. Just be cautious of usual used car sales stuff.

Stapp Interstate Toyota is AWESOME! I got my car serviced quickly, and was able to buy a package for oil changes and tire rotations at a great price. The service team there is so fantastic! It's so easy to just wait - they have plenty of places to relax and/or work! I will be buying my next Toyota from them as well!

The service staff are wonderful once you get an appointment but it is beyond difficult to actually schedule an appointment. Stapp used to have the best customer service. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. It is almost impossible to reach an actual human to speak with when you call the service department. If you do reach a human it is someone from a call center located somewhere else and they are very difficult to understand. I left my phone number several times because I was told I would receive a call back if I did so. I didn’t. I texted asking for a call back and received an automated response thanking me for my text but I never received a call back. I finally contacted someone in the sales department (are sales more important than service?). They were very nice and connected me with an actual Stapp service department employee. The service staff are great. However, within an hour of my car being serviced I called to ask them to order a part that they had given me an estimate on. And the same run around occurred with the automated system and call center. I finally got a hold of someone in customer care who said they would connect me with the service manager. Got his voicemail and asked for a call back. Still waiting.

Louis and everyone else I worked with at Interstate Toyota were helpful in walking me through the process of ordering a new car during all of the crazy supply chain problems that are happening right now. They were also very candid with me up front about how long it could take to actually get something, which I really appreciated. The communication unfortunately left something to desire over the months I waited, but I'm also aware that they're very busy and they can't always make time to call for updates until there's some actionable news. All in all, I would definitely still recommend a friend to Stapp Interstate Toyota.
