We love stews. They have an amazing variety of produce, fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses, and seafood. The store itself is an adventure that we love to do on the weekends. They were super safe during the pandemic and have been great recently. They also have the best ice cream that you get for free if you spend $100

If you like paying 20-30% more than nearby competitors with equal or better products, Stew Leonard’s is a great choice for you. If you want to save money and have a bigger selection of items available, you will be better served by going just about anywhere else.

Stew Leonard's is my own GREAT ADVENTURE. Traveling through the maze to get my meat / cheese / baked goods is the most fun I had all weekend. Great selections too. A bit pricey over Shop Rite.

Not the kind of grocery store you run in and out of quickly, it's a whole experience! The little farm, animatronics, and ice cream are so fun. My little one had a great time and was only slightly terrified of the moo-ing cow animatronic 🤣 Food wise, love their bakery offerings - lots of unique options.

Leaving this review because it’s Stew Leonard’s brand. Bought this ricotta and was shocked upon opening. It was completely sealed. Best by July 7. Green mold and smells horrible! First time buying this product and would never buy again, usually get ricotta from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. Just threw my money into the trash can.

An interesting layout and large store. If looking for restrooms, look up alittle past bread area, while following foot prints easy to walk past sign if looking at floor, if looking up, hard to not see giant lighted sign. Hot food area was great, 9.99lb for chicken, rice, beans.

Being from Wisconsin, I had to stop at a place that tags itself as the largest dairy store in the world. Problem is this is a grocery store. It’s a fun, quirky grocery store though with animatronic animals and decent frozen yogurt though. Worth a stop to see if you’re in the area.

Does it get any better than Stew’s? I think not. And this time of year is obviously the best- apple cider goodies, pumpkin pie, fall florals, the list continues. A staple grocery store that has something for everyone. I’ve recently been loving the curbside pick up option via Instacart. I load my favorites into my cart, schedule a pickup time, pay in advance, and boom- ready upon arrival. Staff always friendly and helpful.

I wish Stew Leonard's had a location closer to East Lyme! My family had a blast shopping. Food looks delicious.. and the Ice Cream super yummy.
