I am writing this review to describe to others who are considering this company, of the very disappointing experience I had as a customer of Drapery Connections. Initially, my experience was good with the sales consultant, Marisa and others at their offices being very attentive in making me feel my drapes (sheers) final product would be high quality and more than meet my expectations. One of my expectations was that I would be able to close and open the sheers on the pleated draw track system effortlessly without fussing or manipulating the curtain. And this expectation was articulated more than once to Marisa who indicated that I had nothing to worry about, the product would meet expectations. I reviewed my options and assessed what they were offering and moved forward with the order. Then I started having issues. First, they said that they would need a smaller percentage of the total price down before work and securing the material, would happen. Then the office said no they would need most of the full price before starting on the project. Then they charged me twice the amount and wasn’t until I brought it to their attention weeks later that they corrected the problem. When my drapes came, the installer was very nice and competent. There was some confusion in terms of the total width of the fabric. Nevertheless, the sheers were installed and were tied pleated together which I was told needed to be maintained for at least 48-72 hours. Okay. I understood this process having purchased custom drapes in the past. However, when I undid the sheers they would not close all the way. After manipulating them and playing with them, they finally closed. The installer was sent back and he indicated that the sheers were correctly hung and that I would have to check back with Marisa. I did and her only option was to take them down and then re-install them. She did not say how that would fix the problem. Would they have to drill different holes in my newly painted wall? Would they have to resew the pleats so that they were not so close together? Would they take them to the workshop and just manually stretch them? With very little information on how a re-install would solve the problem, I asked them not to do a re-install, but would be satisfied with a discount on my original price. Since they did not meet the promised expectation, it was a reasonable solution. I was told absolutely not!!

Couldn't be happier with our experience. Susette really understood what we wanted for our daughter's room - she selected fabrics for the roman shade and pillows, and she selected an amazing grasscloth wallpaper that we fell in love with. And Mimi had a great idea of using the fabric in the accent pillows for the matting in the frames. Great company to work with.
