Professional, great pricing, excellent work product. Matt is terrific and has a crew that came in and graded, placed stone compressed, and completed the asphalt driveway in 3 days. No mess, no problems and could not be more professional, plus offered the best price. I had three bids; Deziel was thousands cheaper. My driveway is 1/4 mile; Deziel completed the work in 3 days with no delays, mess, or excuses. What a great experience, and I was happy to write the check. If you are going to pave, call Deziel, they are the best.

These guys are unprofessional they blew me off 3 days in a row to do my driveway. Now I’m sitting here with a process driveway and they won’t come to complete the job. Stay clear of this company. The owner is rude an wont even return your call. The secretary will tell you the paving crew is coming to complete your job only to have them blow you off continually. Do not hire these guys. They are bad for buis.

Matt and his crew did such PHENOMENAL work on our driveway. Since the 1950s when this house was built, we’ve had a rocky driveway with a steep incline and wasn’t even sure it could be paved. Deziel paving came in with the right tools and the best crew and got our driveway to something so perfect I wouldn’t have even thought it could have been done that way. All of the water runs directly away from The house right into the road. We’ve gone from being able to park 4 cars to being able to park 8 if they’re parked correctly. It’s so smooth and beautiful I’ve literally gotten HUNDREDS of compliments. They stayed to prep the driveway ALL day and then worked very diligently to make it the perfect finished product. I would recommend everyone use Deziel for any paving needs because they truly are THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! Regards, David Bartolini

Great prep job. Did exactly what they said they would do. Good materials. Love the finished product. Highly recommend them. I'm a construction inspector who inspects highway construction.

A great job. All workers were friendly and professional. From first call to the job being finished they were always on time. Their main concern was the drainage because my driveway is rather level. After two days of rain the runoff was great and there were no puddles.

Big mistake. Guy showed up in a nice shirt, drove a nice truck, said a lot of nice things. Talked about pitch, transition areas, curb mating, and landscaping of the disturbed areas. No problem, sounds great. I should have waited for more quotes as I ended up paying about 20% more than the next highest quote from a reputable paver. It also seemed as if the estimator was just throwing numbers around. I was supposed to receive a call from the office with an official quote but I had to keep calling in for it. They were supposed to add 6 inches of packed base, I didn’t see that happen. I saw one truck which was taking the old driveway and soil away. It looked like they just reused the gravel under my old driveway and spread some to the new area. I assumed I didn’t know what I was looking at, but that will become more apparent later. So now I had a dirt and rock driveway. I was told that I would need to drive on it for a week or so to pack it down. SIX weeks later they had still not come back. I had weeds growing in the dirt. Couldn’t get them back. I was even told, “well, everyone wants their driveways paved”. I also had concerns about the grading. Estimator said “no problem”, but prep guys weren’t aware of my concerns. Over those 6 weeks I called many times to get someone back to regrade the driveway, then without that happening they decide it’s time to pave. I was told that they would regrade when the team was there. I took time off of work and waited. They were late and they had no idea about the regrading. I asked them to regrade it but apparently that crew doesn’t regrade. The lead man gave me attitude, packed up, and didn’t do the job. Upset, I called the office. I told them that if they didn’t get this fixed immediately I would call another contractor. They finally sent over a couple of guys who did some loose hand regrading. Now I had to wait another week to get the crew back. I took another day off of work and supervised. The owner shows late and never comes over to talk to me to apologize or discuss. Paving starts. Watching them was mesmerizing, but if it wasn’t for the accommodations that I made for them it would have turned out worse than it did. I watched them look at some low spots and give it a “good enough” kind of shrug. The driveway was paved in two strips, I was concerned about the seam. They also tried to pave up to the top of my step, where I specifically asked for it to be dropped down. And then they were going to leave the side of the street drain sharp edge exposed. I had to ask them to ease it so that if someone turned too sharp into the driveway they wouldn’t cut their tire. They leave, I inspect later. I find a hole up against the foundation. That took another call to which I was told that it wasn’t a big deal. I had to strongly insist that it get corrected. Begrudgingly they said they would do it. A side of the driveway was extremely wavy. There was no edge landscaping as was promised. The seam looked thin and lacking of material. The areas where the roller didn’t go looked very crumbly, porous, and unfinished. The edge of the driveway is now beveled and higher than the landscaping and a twisted ankle waiting to happen. One year later… I have water pushing up through the side of the driveway where I don’t think they put any stone under. The seam is further deteriorating and very noticeable. There is a cracked off edge of the driveway, and no I don’t drive on the edges of the driveway. And my grass is growing through the driveway edges now. In my know-nothing opinion, and based off of observations, they didn’t pack the edges down very well. The slope of the driveway takes runoff to a back corner where the grass acts as a dam because they graded it too low. I am embarrassed by what I paid and disappointed by the entire experience. Next time I’ll buy 100 bags of cold patch and use my car to flatten it. At least I’d get what I paid for.

Explanation of only four stars: I'm anticipating no problems in the future but would like to wait through one winter to make sure cold temperatures have no negative impact on the surface. I can tell you our neighbor had his driveway done a year ago by Deziel and had no problems over the winter. Estimate was promptly made, service was neatly performed, and final bill matched the estimate. Care was given to plants we have along side of the driveway. No problems with the service. Driveway looks good and will be easy to clear of snow this winter.
