I went to Farmington Valley Physical Therapy and left in worse shape than when I originally came in. I would be told to do exercises without much proper instruction and correction and then be left in a room completely alone for 10-20 minutes at a time. I would be there for an hour and maybe work with the therapist for about 15-20 minutes while he moves back and forth from patient to patient. After a month of no improvement and what seemed like worsening conditions and more pain, I switched to a different physical therapy establishment and had a completely different experience. The therapist was with me the entire time and was Far more knowledgeable and friendly than Farmington Valley Physical Therapy. I’ve recovered more in the past few days at the new establishment than i have going to Farmington valley for a month, I would not return to this establishment and do not recommend it. When i discussed my concerns with the poor quality i’ve been receiving and was deciding to switch therapists. The owner, ms boguslawa said “if they mess you up, don’t come back to fix you.” And that very much was not the case. Durring the course of their treatment i had to take myself to the emergency room because i was in so much more pain than when i first came in. likely due to the only and quite poorly trained therapist that is on staff working with patients.

I cannot speak for the entire practice as I only went once with 1 therapist. My therapist came in, did her assessment, went over some somatics exercises, asked me to do ten sets and she said she would be back. Well she didn't come back. So the therapist in the next room who had a patient came over and hooked me up to a tens machine. I haven't had any luck with tens machines and have tried them several times. I was on it for what seemed like forever. When the machine went off, I had to unhook myself from it to use the restroom. Today I tried a different physicaly therapy office and it was a completely different experience. The therapist was with me the whole time and worked with me on retraining my muscles to relax. I will not return to Farmington Valley Physical Therapy. I cannot say you will have a bad experience there. I do not know the circumstances around why my therapist did not return until it was time for me to leave.

The approach at Farmington Valley Physical Therapy is unmatched. I wish we had learned about their services years ago. I am forever in debt to their excellent staff for the relief they have been able to provide to our family when no other physical therapist made a difference. On behalf of the Formica household, we would like to thank you all at FVPT for taking such good care of us, and we fully recommend your services to everyone we talk with who has pain. We especially recommend your services to those who have given up on finding a solution; we know firsthand how FVPT can help.

If you find yourself needing physical therapy, I highly recommend Farmington Valley Physical Therapy in Unionville, CT. I have had a lot of leg injuries, and so after my latest knee injury, my doctor suggested that I get some physical therapy. I decided to go to Farmington Valley PT and I am so glad that I did! The entire staff there is so friendly, extremely educated and very professional. While I was I was getting the needed therapy, they suggested that I might want to go to some of the Hanna Somatic classes that they offer (free of charge, while I was in therapy). I went to the classes and found that these gentle yoga movements complimented the therapy that I was getting. The Somatic exercises helped so much! I found that my pain had diminished and my mobility had improved. In fact, when I was done with my PT, I continued to go to the Somatic classes once a week, and then throughout the week I would do the exercises at home to maintain being pain-free. So, once again, if you every find yourself needing physical therapy, you should definitely check out FVPT.

I had shoulder replacement surgery last February. After only 18 sessions at Farmington Valley Physical Therapy, I achieved all of my range of motion goals and am well on my way to a complete recovery. While my shoulder was stiff and sore for about six weeks following surgery, the therapy process was not painful and I actually felt better at the end of each session. Thank you FVPT.

I have lived most of my adult life with neck and back pain. I have seen every type of Dr from Neurosurgeons, Orthopedics, Chiropractors, etc. I was ready to have surgery when my Dr suggested physical therapy again. The staff at Farmington Valley Physical Therapy has helped me get my life back. I have learned how to recognize my muscle spasms and now know how to retrain my muscles and brain so that my body functions the way it was designed. They have a unique method that has been very successful for me. Additionally the classes that Mary Badon has on the Soma Movement side are a perfect complement to recovery. I would highly recomend this facility to anyone in pain>

Unfortunately, I've had entirely too many opportunities to compare physical therapy practices. However, FVPT is far and away the best I've ever been to, and will be the last I try. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant, and most importantly, know what they're doing. Not only do they all seem devoted to their patients, but they take the time to explain what they're doing, and why, usually with the pertinent medical terminology. I've needed treatment on and off for years, but this is the first time anyone has identified the systemic issues that predisposed me to continue to have problems, and the treatment is holistic and intended to promote not only improvement in the symptoms, but an opportunity for long term lasting improvement. If you need a physical therapist, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

After a serious fall, I was suffering severe shoulder pain. I was unable to perform my normal activities. I was even having trouble sleeping. After a few visits to Farmington Valley Physical Therapy, my pain diminished considerably! Following my therapy and continuing to do at home exercises, I have been able to return to all the things I enjoy so much. I had a wonderful experience there. Thanks so much!

Bogusia is a terrific therapist. I had been told never to play tennis again because of back issues. She gave me extremely useful exercises to do both there and at home. She was very positive about my getting back on the court and she was right. I'm so grateful that she was such a skilled, compassionate, and hopeful therapist. We need more of those for older people when so many underestimate our potential. R. Katz

Ms. Bogusia and her team of therapists are an excellent group to receive therapy from. The exercises, information and actual therapy brought full range of motion back to my body. I am so glad to have met up with them. It's worth the drive from wherever you live! Thanks ladies.
