Super cool place to live! Errika, Darryl, and the other leasing office and concierge staff are super friendly, helpful, and warm - they definitely made me feel at home during my lease / time living there. All the other residents I ever met were friendly and chill, definitely made for a fun community. My apartment was awesome, the vaulted ceilings and wall of windows made it one of the most memorable, comfortable, and fun places I’ve ever lived. My unit was ideal for working from home, and my appliances and worked very well. The amenities were super cool as well, with steam-punk vibes. The down side is the location. There is not a ton to do around there in walking distance / without driving or biking - several businesses have closed - and there were a few incidents of crime while I was there, but that’s part of being in a city, I suppose. That said, it’s still easy to get to NoMa, Shaw, and other parts of the city. I was definitely sad to leave but did so with fond memories!

Theres a youthful atmosphere to the place. It is very open and airy with great light. It is great for family and or pets. I really enjoyed living here! Very helpful and friendly staff!

Love the aesthetic of the building. Along w having a dog park & gym. Super convenient area (especially being near the highway). Daryl the concierge is also a huge plus! He is very helpful & kind. Always on top of things such as notifying you when you have mail or problem solving when there’s an issue. He also brings great energy to the building. Very much appreciated!

0/5 stars The Hecht Warehouse received mine and my partner's deposit and application fees for a total of $600 and never contacted us once about our move-in date or anything else. They refused phone calls and emails at both the apartment's office and corporate office. We asked for our money back due to their lack of professionalism and never received it. It's past the 45 days they have to return it, so we are seeking legal action. I can't imagine how inept the employees are at this location if they can't be bothered to contact potential residents who have already paid.

We paid the security deposit and had our accounts disabled citing bad credit. They gave no notification of this until we attempted to log in and had already gotten us to do things like set up utilities. They are now not answering calls.

Bullet points for easy following: -$1200 in fees that weren’t disclosed until after paying the application fee and deposit -10 unanswered emails -called multiple times a day for a week before I finally got to speak to someone (they don’t have a voicemail -my number had been left for the manager 3 times. Still haven’t received a call -move-in day is 5 days from this posting and I still don’t know if I actually have an apartment Update: It has been over 45 days since I've requested my deposit back and still am having trouble getting in contact with any at this property, or Greystar in general. Maybe they will respond to legal letterhead.

Absolutely LOVE the property! But there is no way to get in contact with the leasing agents. I was looking forward to moving into this place but the application process, getting a tour and learning about the property has been somewhat a hassle. My advice is to go to the Hecht to complete the entire process in person, otherwise you will likely miss the opportunity living here.

I lived here when I relocated to DC in 2018! I loved everything about it and if I would not have bought a house, I’d probably still live here! The amenities were the best!

Living at the Hecht has been a positive experience. In my last seven months here I must say that I don’t have any complaints. The lobby is always inviting, the Conceirge (especially Darryl and Cece) are amazing, and the amenities remain in clean and in tact. The building itself is so unique for this area as you will not find too many apartments that offer an industrial loft feel.

The only good thing about this apartment is the concierge (and like two of them) and the apartment aesthetic. Everything else is terrible. I can't seem to ever get a hold of the leasing office. I've moved out and have heard nothing about my deposit. No one answers the phone or answers emails. Even when I lived there, there were several emergencies (fire emergencies, electricity outage) and pooor communication (not knowing what's going on until hours later). Walls are so thin. I'm not sure why the management just can't do very basic management. I'm so confused!
