I will have love to rate this experience a 5 because the registration process and the pre-op process were excellent. However, there were points at which the facility scored a 2 for me. First, the scheduling department failed to call, and it was until I contacted them at 530p when I find out my surgery time the next day. This is a big issue for someone with underlying medical conditions that needs to be regulated until the surgery time. Secondly, the recovery unit was anxious for discharging me and was unaware of the entire procedure. Therefore, they were attempting to make my body react rather than let my body wake up naturally. It didn't help that once I mentioned I was having a mild pain, I was given two shots of pain medication. Third, the crutches were given at the wrong height. I am 72.5 in height. The crutches were set for 70 in. I was able to correct this the next morning when I fully woke up. For these three events, the hospital lost the star, but the rest of the event, including the surgery itself and the surgeon were excellent. Please correct these events or contact me if want to develop them

I spent a few days in the cardiac unit. Everything from the registration to the emergency room to my room on 3 Central went smoothly. The doctors, nurses and support staff were awesome . Food service was wonderful. No one wants to be in the hospital, but when it happens it’s nice to be treated as nicely as I was. The concern they have for their patients is very evident and much appreciated !

Fortunately, we arrived at a time where there weren't many people who were there to be seen. The only thing is they had to draw blood from my husband THREE times because someone wasn't doing his/her job diligently. The lady who drew it the last time promised to hand deliver it to the lab herself. Besides that, all the staff members were very cordial and accommodating. We had a pleasant experience!

I went in through ER and was admitted for surgery on the cervical spine. I must say I was treated exceptionally well by everyone from Dr’s right down to the food service workers. The nurses were very kind and attentive. I ended up being there for 8 days and in all that time I had only one nurse whom I was not fond of. I think she was a good nurse just a little rough around the edges. I definitely would recommend JFK . All the Dr’s were very attentive and checked on me daily. Dr Kouri did my surgery and I must say it’s only been 10 days and I already feel like a new person. I would like to say thank you to everyone involved in my care for making my experience as pleasant as possible.

At first very informative and you couldn't ask for more caring attentive staff. Doctors nurses and the wonderful social worker. At the end of his stay my sons Doctors didn't want to give me information. I never found out why. Overall I've never been to such a great hospital. I especially want to commend the nursing staff and social worker whom went above and beyond

I recently had a surgery in JFK Hospital. The doctors, nurses, and hospital staff from JFK Hospital are my true angels and they give me a new life. During my stay in JFK Hospital, I received so much love and professional care from the doctors and nurses everyday, I can't even describe how grateful I am to JFK Hospital in words. JFK Hospital is also very clean, the rooms are very comfortable, and the meals are delicious. It the best hospital I have ever stayed. I love you, JFK Hospital!

My mom had this CNA whose name is Jodala she was very polite she introduced herself to me. My mom says she has the softest, sweetest kind voice you want to hear. My mom couldn’t get out of bed she made sure she was clean she did everything for my mom. She kept my mom bed clean and the room. My mom says she deserves the best.

Overall, from the Pre Surgery visit until the surgery was completed, every single person I interfaced with was outstanding! Everyone had a very pleasant attitude and were focused on helping me in anyway they could. The entire staff exceeded my expectations! They deserve a 5 star rating. The facilities were spotless and well managed! My Surgery was completed mid afternoon and my doctor ordered a “STAT”after surgery X-ray. The X-ray was immediately taken after the surgery. However; I had to wait 3 hours for the Radiologist to read it. This is unacceptable and placed a very negative damper on what could have been an outstanding medical experience. I would have rated 5 stars if this radiology delay didn’t happen. There is no reason to take 3 hours to have a “STAT” X-ray read by a radiologist before being released.

I am a nurse for 40 years. I was highly impressed, with the nursing staff. They were kind, knowledgeable, efficient and caring. This was my first visit to JFK. I refused to go to Delray Medical Center due to a horrible experience on multiple levels there. I am so glad that I chose JFK and will continue to use that hospital. Rochelle is an exceptional nurse and she deserves a raise. The food was good. The medical staff could do better with not rushing the daily visits, which consisted of less than five minutes. The radiology department were kind and understood and modified the procedures due to My physical limitations. Overall, I had a an exceptional experience at your facility.

Im currently here at jfk hospital I have been in this room since 5 pm. The photo u see is the previous patient. The transportation guy that brought me up made complaints that the room wasn’t even cleaned before me. I came in for complications in my GI. I’m supposed to be on fluids. The iv that was in me wasn’t working cause it wasn’t installed properly. I voiced this to multiple nurses and was given rebuttals.once I got upstairs another nurse took it out because the alarm kept going off stating nothing was draining . But now it just sitting there. I’m hungry and was told I can have broth. It’s 9:40 pm. At 8 pm a nurse came in to say she would be my nurse for the night. She hasn’t been back. I told her about the I.V. Also the dr said he needs a stool sample. I gave a stool sample at 6 pm. And it’s still sitting here in my room at 9:40. The nurse said she was going to get the stuff she needed to collect the sample. She hasn’t been back yet. Now the sample is no good cause it’s been left out too long. I’m concerned about my health. It’s sad that I have to be concerned about practice and treatment here. I’m afraid that I’m not getting any service because I don’t have insurance. I have been polite to the staff so it can’t be that I was a “bad patient “. I’m hungry and haven’t eaten in over 24 hours. I don’t have any fluid nor was offered any.
