This was my 3rd move using PODS. All the personnel I encountered were knowledgeable and very pleasant. The do exactly what they say they will do. All deliveries and pickups were on time with very skilled drivers who are also friendly and respectful. Everything arrived in perfect condition. They are obviously extremely careful with your possessions. They get my highest recommendation!

Whatever you do do not use this company EVER! I originally had them deliver the pods to the apartment we were moving out of because our house was not complete and we had to move out of our apartment until we could move into our house. I scheduled delivery and when scheduling they told me I would need 2 spots. I held 2 spots for the pods when I asked what I needed to do for deliver they said I only needed a normal size parking spot to store the pod. When the driver arrived they couldn't put the pods in the spots we had saved because there were cars on both sides of where the parking spot was. I wasn't told this would be an issue. Now I am trying to schedule deliver to the new home then tried and they are trying to tell me that there are city regulations that we couldn't have them delivered to the house at the same time. I need to have movers come and unload and they are telling me I can't do it at the same time because there are "city regulations" stating we couldn't put a pod on the street. Funny thing, we had driven through the neighborhood the week before and there were numerous pods in the neighborhood on the street. I asked for a copy of the city regulations and she said she couldn't provide that. When I told her that I was on the City website and couldn't find any regulation stating a pod couldn't be put on the street. She told me that it was a personal agreement that they had with the city. She kept changing her story. When I asked to speak with a manager she refused to provide a manager. She finally put me on hold and kept me on hold for over 25 minutes with out returning. I will never ever use pods again for any reason. Please do not use this company they are worthless.

Being widowed I needed assistance after selling my house and moving out of town. My items needed storing for 3 months. So I called PODs in advance of my moving to get information of how their service works. After the conversation I learned this was exactly what I needed and it would make my move easy for me. I was extremely please with the procedures for pickup and delivery. At the end of my move I was so thankful for the assistance PODs provided. As stressful as it was making this move PODs made it a pleasure.

The company has the worst customer service of any company that I have had the displeasure of working with. The words "I am sorry for that experience" is the answer for ineptitude of one representative completely lying about pickup availability, as well as being disconnected, in addition to disregarding the customer needs entirely. In my initial attempt to schedule the moving of our containers along with the pick up of our containers, the representative explained that the pods would be moved at some point in the morning with no guaranteed time and picked up 5 hours later at an additional fee of $100.00 per container. Upon placing me on hold, the representative terminated the phone call. After another 15 minute hold time, I was transferred to an entirely different agent who then proceeded to inform me that everything I was told was completely and utterly false. When I informed her of what I was told, I was then informed that "if" I was told that, I could ask for an investigation of the employee. "If" the recording was properly reflecting my "version" of events, the employee could be coached. In total, the experience took over two hours to not be able to accomplish the goals promised during my first phone call. The company needs competition that will enhance the consumer experience while charging around $3000 over a six month period. The customer service is extremely lacking with no supervision per the second representative with whim I spoke. My issues were real, and they were given no concern by PODS stating that it is not how they do business. As a wedding gift my family wanted to give us Pods so we wouldn't have to worry about driving a trailer across country on our honeymoon. It seemed like a nice idea and good deal in the beginning. The original agent was nice but didnt finish scheduling the Transit/ drop off. Which mean we are know home across the country from our belongings. problem #1: Today, April 20th I tried scheduled my pod delivery. I couldn't online. There was note saying to call the an agent. Now To my understanding when the pod was picked up the it would be delivered to Midway, FL by April 17th. I was never told I need to schedule the transit just that I needed to schedule the drop off and pick pick up of the empty pod. I was expecting the pod to be here in FL and able to Schedule the pick up within 7 days of getting our ok to move into the cottage. Problem #2; I have sent in a Credit Card Authorization Form for updated form of payment March 29th. When speaking with the customer service person to I was still going charged on the old CC on file. which was not the Credit card for the payment. I couldn't update the card the without having my family fill out the authorization form so I did why you just put the note in my file and not change the form a payment to the authorized card??? I dont understand why everything has had to be scheduled or dealt with at least twice. I knew that I wanted the pod delivered by the Apr 25 and told this to the original agent why wasn't it scheduled then??? The last agent I spoke with today on 4/20 was amazing so long as she was able to fix everything. hopefully the the correct CC will be charged. just wish they could have delivered my pod on time. Now I risk being charged again if I dont have the pod cleared out by the day after they deliver it. Based on the over all experience I have had with pods I will not be using pods in the future or recommending it to anyone. IF you want a better review contact me and fix this delay of two weeks that I will now be living out of my suitcase. Service: Interstate moving

While the physical pick up and moving portion was great, the billing was a mess. They did not follow the quotes and overcharged a significant amount ($hundreds) and while they were quick and efficient at collecting the money from my account, they have been foot-dragging slow to address and refund the overcharge. Still a work in progress weeks after notifying them of the overcharges. Service: Local moving

From not allowing access to our belongings to jacking our rate to go closer, they have been inflexible and unhelpful around every corner. NEVER again will I use or recommend PODS to anyone. I really wish I remembered the gentleman's name that picked up our pod and delivered it to our new house. He was a saint! We had a nightmare on our hands when he got there that day. I was in tears because the movers we hired to pack the POD with our belongings were not very smart. They packed everything to the ceiling on the backside and left the front completely empty. The POD guy took the time out of his day to help me rearrange a couple things and reassured me everything was going to be fine. That gentleman turned my entire day around! It's good to know there are still good people in this world. I can't give enough thanks here. Service: Local moving

We used pods for storing our stuff and although slightly expensive it seemed ok. My issue with them is when you book you are told you can get your belongings delivered as soon as they are needed but this is not true . I was forced to wait two weeks to have my own belongings delivered back to me, I feel they do this on purpose in order to siphon another month of storage fees out of you. Pods you need better customer care and stop trying to nickel and dime your customers, people need their belongings not a tough time getting them back from you!!!
