Sammy is very knowledgeable about The world of real antiques. My wife and I were looking at some of his jewelry. We found several pieces that we liked and he was more than willing to work with us on the price and as a matter of fact gave us an incredibly great deal. If you are looking for real antiques in the St. Petersburg area, Sammy is the guy you want to go to!

I previously purchased an item at Lion’s Paw and had a pleasant experience. However my most recent experience demonstrated extremely unethical and dishonest business practices. About two weeks ago, I was interested in purchasing a watch. When I inquired the owner, he expressed that the watch was priced at $20 and that it was “not valuable”. On 7/24/2022, I stopped by the store ready to purchase the watch and inquired a different gentleman (note that watch was in the display case for sale). He then proceeded to call the owner and stated that the watch did not have a sticker price. After I directly chatted with the owner and sent a picture to his phone I awaited a response for about half an hour. He then stated that he did not recall our previous conversation and that the watch was not for sale. I then returned to the store front and the watch was longer in the display case and the owner “had forgotten” it was not for sale. Avoid at all cost.

Went here after a nice afternoon brunch with friends, and there’s so much beautiful antiques and vintage things. Especially brand name purses like Gucci and Dior sunglasses. Gentleman at the counter was extremely courteous and assisted us in such a wonderful manner. We left the store very satisfied and happy with something memorable to add to our collection. Definitely a must go to place in St. Pete:)

Moved into the neighborhood a few months back and I can honestly say I visit Lion's Paw at least once a month :) Sammy is such a great, kind, and knowledgeable guy. I've gotten some wonderful pieces there to decorate my home. His shop is full of very unique antiques and very rare collectables. This place is a MUST visit!!!

Was on the hunt for the perfect jewelry display furniture piece for new new retail shop down the street and found the exact perfect one! Love it so much and so reasonably priced. I was looking at a new one online for double the price. Love that I was able to support local, resale, AND get a good deal.

Lion's Paw Antiques is where I found my engagement ring and I could not be happier! Not only did the owner graciously assist me and my fiance in trying on multiple rings but was also able to share his expertise with us about the quality of the ring. Given my skeptical personality, I had it appraised after purchase from Lion's Paw and it was appraised at 3x the value that we paid for the ring!!! Thank you so much to Sammy, the owner of this shop for his patience, kindness and sincere demeanor while I browsed and finally found my beautifully unique ring. I would highly recommend this antique shop to anyone looking for high quality antiques and genuine, sincere and kind nature of the owner. Thank you Sammy!!!!!! We will definitely be back!!!

I’ve been to plenty of antiques & vintages stores from New York City, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and of course Florida and I want to say Lion’s Paw is my favorite! It holds such beautiful and unique antique jewelry (also high end such as David Yurman) and luxury bags. Gorgeous furnitures and home decor for home decorating. So many different collectibles imaginable. It’s a place you’ll find your treasures. It’s a MUST VISIT when visiting St Petersburg! Another awesome thing is that the owners were so nice. Sam was kind to give up some of his time to educate myself and my cousin about certain items. He was also reasonable with prices. Just ask!

We cannot thank owner Sammy enough for his professional advice when he came to our home to evaluate estate items we want to sell. Not from St. Petersburg we were at a loss as to how to empty out a house we had just inherited of its valuables. I have complete faith that Sammy not only knows his antiques and their value, but is so incredibly honest, straight/forward and generous in the amounts he paid us for our silver and other decorative items. The process was so easy. We had considered selling on E-Bay but it would have taken months and we no doubt would end up with the same profit that Sammy offered us or much less-instantaneously and with no pressure or work attached.. He is honest and frankly generous in his offers. Sammy has clearly gained his excellent reputation for a reason. We had the pleasure of visiting Sammy’s store on Central. Great finds and great prices. I am truly grateful to our friend who recommended Sammy. I couldn’t give him higher praises and thanks!

Always a great selection of very rare pieces. The owner goes out of his way to be extremely fair on price - We have many of his items in our home that we love to display. I highly recommend this place if you love antiquing! FYI - The previous post has misleading photos that are not the inside of Lions Paw (from experience) - his stuff is FAR more high end.
