I ordered take out 3 weeks ago. Very expensive and the portion was too small for a full order, more like for a child. I didn't say anything about it and took it home. The Beans & meat were really salty. The meat didn't taste fresh. It all ended up tossed into garbage and I ended up eating Ravioli from a can, today I decided to give them a second chance so I bought take out again and "big mistake". It was worse than the 1st time. I called them and told them about the salt and the old taste of the chicken and beans and told them that I was taking it back. . The man that answered, "well..that's too bad. We don't refund anything. He rudely said, You bought it. ,'is yours! I was trying to be polite..and told him..you should tell your cook to use less salt on the meat and beans. He said "I'm not saying anything..then I said .. don't worry! I don't plan to buy food from you ever again good luck, I hanged up the phone. It just happened! I am upset and hungry! Thank God for left overs! The beef steak I cooked yesterday tasted like heaven! Pepo's Cafe is too expensive,salty & Poor Customer Service.

9939 4th St. North St. Petersburg, FL 33702 Tuesday, September 20, 2022 Greeted by Friendly Staff Establishment Clean / Comfortable Interior Temperature No Line / No Waiting at This Time Arrived & Ordered at the Counter: 4:40pm We both ordered the El Habano Cubano, an order of fries we shared and 2 drinks. It was a traditional Cuban sandwich consisting of roasted pork, ham, salami, and Swiss cheese with mustard and a spear of dill pickle. Delicious. For dessert we had a slice of chocolate cake and it was over-the-top amazing. We can’t wait to go back.

Picked up 3 Cuban sandwiches today and they were aweful a quarter sized chunk of pork on the whole sandwich no cheese no pickles and no mustard went back in and the lady drenched them in mustard with an attitude absolutely awful

Absolutely awful!! Each time we order food and drive it home 1 mile, the food is ALWAYS opened and spilled all over the bottom of the bag- On several occasions at least within 12-24 hours we would be sick and we honestly believe it may be the food and the "Thank you" bags the food always spills into- could be roach dust or other. It is not worth being sick- and the staff is RUDE about it as well! I have included a picture and looking at it literally makes my stomach turn- we had to throw out $14 of food and then decide what to do for dinner after a 10 hour work day and it was 8:00 PM - too many other great places to get Cuban food with courtesy staff as well-

Latin fast food in Saint Pete; which is great to have, especially on the north side. I've only had 2 made to order items. The mofongo; good. And the Cuban sandwich; surprisingly subpar, almost no pork and so much deli meat that it was cold☹.

Food was OK. Been going there for years. Customer service lacks BIG TIME, younger dude working the register wearing the backwards hat has bad vibes. He snatched the debit card out of my hand, he's lucky I didn't snatch him up! He didn't even say thank you for my business. I'll probably not return.

Very interesting experience. The rice was cold and I asked to warm it up a little bit and they took literally 15min doing that and when they finally brought the rice I couldn’t even eat it because it was extremely hot to the point that it had an after taste after that. No entren water at the table🙄 Bad service….

So, we were on the way to Weedon Island (which is AWESOME [see my review]) and good old Google suggested Pepo's. Don't be put-off by the outside. Sometimes, such places serve the best food around and...we were NOT dissapointed! Everything is authentic Cuban and the food was crazy-good! I had the Cuban pork on a Cuban roll (instead of the wrap) and my wife had the Chicken with rice and black beans and both were outstanding! The staff were very friendly and you could tell the customers were loyal locals who knew where to get great Cuban food. So, if you ate looking to pick up something on the way to Weedon, don't even think about going somewhere else!

We stop in on a whim...first thing I noticed that the place smelled like Grandma kitchen amazing. The staff was super helpful with recommending our selection. We order two entree meals (stewed chicken, red beans, plantains and stewed pork, yellow rice and black beans) and 2 beef empanadas. The chicken and pork were super tender and flavorful. I love the plantains were my favorite sweet and carmalized to perfection. However the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was the beef in the empanadas were a bit bland. I have had better. Other then the empanadas, I will be back to try the other selections on there menu.
