I have shopped at Winn Dixie for over 6 years. After a couple bad experiences I refused to shop at their Deli at the store in Tavares, FL. The employees would stand there gossiping about other employees AND the manager while slicing your meat, how unprofessional! Not what I want to hear. Then the last straw was when the deli MANAGER waited on us and with his BARE hands, reached in the bag and pulled out the roast beef and started slicing it! I was absolutely disgusted and swore I would never go to their deli again. And I haven’t, I went to Publix each week and bought my deli items even though they were more expensive. Finally, Winn Dixie put a new manager in the deli, thank God! We went there today and the glass on the display doors were spotless! Everything looked SO clean! The person that waited on us was SO friendly and professional (I’m sorry I don’t know her name because I would have liked to mention it). She wore gloves! What a concept 🤦♀️ I’m VERY happy to say that we will now keep going to their nice, CLEAN deli from now on. GREAT job to the new manager, keep it up!

Staff extremely helpful and caring when my neighbor and friend had a spill. Associate broke her fall while assisting her to the car with groceries. Manager and a patron drove her home, brought in and put away her groceries. They stayed with her until I arrived. Nicer folks cannot be found. Thank you

Treated myself to crab legs. First I smelled bleach but figured since they were cleaning maybe just on outside of bag. They look freezer burnt but was taking a chance they did not tadyecthat way but was so off they smelled alittle more fishy then usual and most pieces wouldn't pull out if shell. Even before I can finish I was violently I'll throwing up. 29.00 down the toilet. Would pass in crab legs from there.

Bought Jowell meat couldn't get it sliced because another employee failed too show up for work.Couldn't get it sliced as machines already cleaned. Very disappointed especially with the cost of meat.

An American supermarket chain headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida that operates more than 515 stores in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi. We generally shop at the Eustis or Tavares Florida stores. While they do not have the selections available at Publix, they do have good meat and great BOGO offers with helpful employees. However, their app takes away reward points while we are in the store (2X), prior to checking out at the register. Do they give us points to lure us in and once in just delete them? Their customer service has not been helpful to offer a remedy. Buyer beware!

I love going to Winn Dixie. The associate's are always friendly and try to help as much as they can but the only thing that upsets me is the deli and the long Wait and the meat is not sliced the way you ask for it. ,I was very disappointment in my last order of meat. I'm about debating on going to Publix soon and get better and faster service.

I do almost all of my shopping at Publix so I base all other shopping experiences from that. This Winn Dixie location seems to be pretty good and well stocked. I've generally had a good experience whenever I go.

Store is okay but the pharmacy is lousy. People that work in the pharmacy are rude and don't seem to like their jobs, including the pharmacist. Amazon's pharmacy is going to put places like this out of business. They also keep the shutters mostly closed 'cause they just don't give a damn.
