If you are heading out to the lake then you should be sure to stop in at Sugar Creek. They have everything from fishing tackle, clothing, drinks, snacks, HOT food, sunscreen and sunglasses! Do check out the NEW Bajio Sunglasses as they have a great selection in house to choose from. 5 stars for both Sugar Creek Marinan and Bajio

Down home placee that carries great product, good food and coffee, great employees and owner. Hard to find places like this these days. Saturdays are fish tourney days so expect to wait in morning on those days.

Sugar Creek Marina is the best marina on Lake Oconee. The store is fully stocked and the staff is great and always helpful. Stop by for breakfast/lunch, great food. Try the fish sandwich!!

Nice convenient store, deli and fully stocked tackle shop. Four boat ramps which is great for the weekend boaters but very congested for a 200 boat tournament but that doesnt come around to often. Highly recommend.

Just, wow! Simply outstanding, old-time customer service from William Clark the manager there. As a visitor to the lake, I was in a bind with a broken trailer, and no way to get my boat back home to Fayette County. Understandably, none of the marinas I called had space available to store my boat for the two weeks it would take to get the trailer repaired, or only dealt in long term storage agreements- that is, until I talked to William. He felt my pain, and said he would find room to stack it, and said, "we'll just figure out a pro-rated charge once you get your trailer back." To top it off, he did me another huge solid the day I came to finally get the boat. My fault, but without thinking to check ahead of time, I called during the two hour drive there to let him know I was on the way to get the boat, only to find out their storage facility is closed on Tuesdays! But, ever accommodating, "no problem," said William, "I'm here anyway, so I'll just put it in, and it'll be on the dock ready when you get here." This is how you win customers!

Friendly people! A little expensive to launch your boat when you can get a year pass for all GA power ramps for $50. If you need fishing gear or food this is the place… if you want to launch… I think Across the lake (.2 miles) and launch at the public ramp. If they were comparable price with the state I would launch there.
