Best running shoes on island.

Came here for some hiking/activity shoes after trying another store that ended up being closed, definitely glad we ended up here instead! Was helped immediately and very attentively and after describing how my cousins and I struggled on the very muddy Aiea Loop trail was recommended some excellent shoes. Hiked Diamond Head Crater the next day and my feet were so comfortable the whole time, the shoes didn't feel like they were more intense than was needed for this kind of hike either. One cousin went to get shoes of her own before we tackled the densely vegetated and muddy Waipuilani Falls trail on another day. Had no troubles with climbing or slipping (even scaling the wet rock wall up to the cave right next to the falls!) and feet were still super comfortable the whole way and back. Never had time to give the Aiea Loop another shot, but I'm confident it would have been a night and day difference with the new shoes I was expertly recommended. Thank you to the friendly staff for your help, the pair I got is definitely my new go-to for long distances and challenging terrain!

Went to Runner’s Route Aiea with the wifey to try on some new shoes for her. She needed a new pair of running shoes because she’s starting to get shin splints, and her other shoes is lacking support. Tomo helped her find the perfect shoe! He measured her feet, did a feet analysis, and picked out a couple good ones to try on. He showed us a new way to tie shoelaces to help support the foot in the shoe which was cool! He was also very patient and kind with our two rambunctious kids. Overall, outstanding customer service by Tomo! You won’t get that kind of specialist expertise treatment from another retail shopping mall shoe store. Plus you get kamaaina discount on high end running shoes. Thanks Tomo! Aloha!

Ample parking. Friendly service. Limited stock. I settled on a pair that did not fit very well, but was assured that I could return them within 7 days. The gentleman stated that they would adjust to my feet. Turns out that the shoes I purchased were for a different use than that for which I needed them. After 15 minutes of wear I my feet hurt a lot. I was told that because I had "worn them outside", that I could not return them. This, despite being clearly told otherwise on the day of purchase. I can not recommend this store for 2 reasons: 1) the poor advice I received in shoe selection, and 2) the misrepresentation of the store return policises.

Excellent service. Prices are not as bad as I had read on other reviews. For example, MSRP for the Mizuno Wave Inspire 14 is $130. Was on sale for 119.99 at time of my purchase. Can get a little busy with customers asking questions. Only one sales rep at the time but he still made sure I was satisfied. Not his fault. People whatever happened to wait your turn. What makes u think u are sooooooo more impirimpo than me. Not Sales rep fault, so still giving this place 5 stars. People are just rude.

I lowered my initial rating of 4 stars to 1. I kept my original review below for reference since it reflects my first two visits and is more applicable to most people reading these reviews. My issue is specific, may not apply in your case, and stands as a warning. They didn't have my size in any of the shoes I wanted, so I settled for an OK fitting pair. I told the store manager that I would continue shopping and would return the shoes if I found something better within a week. He told me that I could return it as long as I didn't wear them outside. I found what I was looking for at the Running Room on Kapahulu Avenue that week. I drove back to this location to return the shoes and was told only then that I could only exchange or take store credit. I was very clear before that there was a good chance I was returning the shoe. The store manager said no problem as long as I didn't wear them outside and that was it. When I tried to return them he pointed to this little sign against the wall near the register that I didn't even notice until pointed out and of course didn't read. If my eyesight was a little worse than it is, I might not have been able to read it from the corner of the counter at the register. The sign states their return policy. I trusted him and took him at his word. He didn't care that he told me in no uncertain terms that I could return it and never bothered to mention the return policy. We went back and forth for a long time but he never budged. He didn't care that a customer felt cheated by him. I insisted that he call his higher to request for an exception. It took me a while to get him on the phone. And, all he did was call a fellow manager at another location who of course backed him up regarding the return policy. I am certain he left out the part that he told me I could return them no problem and failed to cover the details of the return policy. If he had been honest and forthright during our initial transaction, I would have asked him to hold onto the shoes for a week while I continued shopping around. Now I have $140 store credit for a store I'd prefer never to shop at again. ***** Smallish store with a larger selection of shoes and accessories than you'd expect. Had my walk and mobility assessed with subsequent shoe recommendations. I liked what was recommended, but they didn't have my exact size in stock, but in their defense, neither did 2 other running stores in the area that day. Service is very friendly and helpful, and there is ample parking in the surrounding shopping complex.
