First time at this restaurant and would certainly return. Interesting old decor, excellent menu and salad/soup bar. Experienced wait staff. Casual and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Absolutely the best steak house I've ever experienced. The old school salad bar is phenomenal.. The steak and prime rib melted in your mouth.. The asparagus was prepared perfectly. You must experience and enjoy the fire Brandy ice cream.!!!! And the crab cakes are undoubtedly the best!! This is a great place for date night... enjoying your anniversary... entertaining friends and family... The staff was incredible the atmosphere was cozy and historic. It has a warm welcoming family type vibe. A top rated steakhouse without the top rated steakhouse price.. We will definitely be back I highly recommend checking them out you will not be disappointed..

My sister invited us to join her for her birthday here , the drive was a little over an hour from our house. The drive was worth it . Prime rib was the special of the night , and it was melt in your mouth special and perfectly cooked . My wife had Blacken Salmon , which was also very good. Supper Club environment, small salad bar . No reservations on Saturday, we got there early, 9 of us and was seated right away . Service and food Great , in a small town that you would never guess that this place was there .

We visited on Saturday, March 19th. I'll get the "bad" out of the way up front. At 5:40 PM, we waited over an hour to be seated for dinner. Ouch. Now, the reasons. They were very short-staffed AND their point-of-sale order system had just crashed. To try and work around those issues, they purposely "staged" seating in the dining area. It worked, as once we were seated, food was served in a timely fashion.....maybe offer a drink on the house at that point?? The food was OUTSTANDING. Our group of 4 ordered two prime rib dinners and two stuffed filets.....along with the crab cake appetizer. Topnotch all the way around. The chef, who was obviously tired and frenzied, still made it a point to come around and check on each tables food. Impressive. Art & Alma's has been our go-to for excellent food for well over 25 years and will continue as such!

Our party of 4 arrived soon after it opened on a Saturday. We ordered steaks including prime rib and ribeye which were cooked perfectly and were tender. Salad bar was fresh with lots of variety. Great service. Would give 5 stars but for the wait for our entrees. Food did not disappoint though, we would go again.

A modern day steakhouse menu in an old building in the middle of downtown Burlington. The prices of the food are similar to what you would find at a fancier restaurant downtown Chicago,or even Oak Brook,or Schaumburg. Very dated decor inside. Salad bar was average. Drink menu is standard. The ribeye I ordered was really good.

If I could give it 10/5 I would with out any doubt. This is a Gem that I never had heard about till about 2 weeks ago. The staff was the most friendly I have seen in a long time. Know the best part from century old decor to some of the best drinks you can get. The Old Fashion was perfect and they have a huge selection of specialty Bloody Mary's! The soup and salad bar was amazing with choices that you usually do not see anywhere. The soup was thick and filled with meat. They also have hot bacon dressing at the salad bar. I had the 12 oz Filet the was done a perfect medium rare and I could cut it with a fork.My wife had the 24 oz Prime rib that was the best we have tasted in northern Illinois for years. I can't wait to get back and try the Friday fish fry. The entry's are very fair priced for the quality of food. I suggest you get there at 4:00 pm when they open since people were lined up at that time. Simply put a GREAT PLACE !!!

Fantastic dinning experience my second visit for the 16oz prime rib special cooked to perfection with a nice salad bar, complementary bread and excellent drinks from the bar. The establishment it self has an old time era look and history of the building in pictures along the walls.

We drove out from the tri cities to finally try this place after wanting to for 20 years and the country drive is so pretty and relaxing. The restaurant is small and like taking a step through time. Our server was great, everything on the salad bar tasted fresh and homemade, the margarita I ordered was delicious and worth the $10 I paid, and the prime rib we ordered was great. Very sorry I had no room for creme brulee. Will go back, soon.

I have been going to Art & Alma's for about 30 years. The food and service have always been excellent. The classic old style salad bar is always keep fresh and enticing. The entrées, it doesn't matter which one you choose they are all great! I have never been disappointed! My personal favorite is the full slab of barbecue ribs, original flavor barbecue sauce with fries. Perfect! The desserts vary and compliment the entrées well. Art & Alma's is well run and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and conscientious! A great place, great food and a great experience!
