Okay selections but not a friendly experience. I spoke when entering but wasn’t greeted back. Wasn’t asked if I needed help or if I was looking for a certain record. Also I stood in line waiting to be acknowledged but the cashier was carrying a conversation with a person that had already made a purchase didn’t acknowledge me at all so I sat down my records and left. Glad to see others had a better experience

Record store is located on a corner. Make sure to turn early and park in the back. The store has A Ton of Vinyl and Cds. Cassettes are available. The prices are reasonable. The store is jam packed. I would make sure to allow yourself time to look.

Been coming here for so long. This is the kind of place that takes me back to a comfortable space in time. Extensive selection and always restocked with a variety of vinyls, cassettes and CDs. RSD is always an incredible experience ! Love this place

Cool place to find old records that I used to have and love to later own again. Will go back when I am ready to purchase them. Owner was cool to talk to and very knowledgeable.

The old school is easy to access if your on foot or bicycle,motorist tend to pass by since location is at a busy intersection. Record store does have a good selection of recordings at a reasonable price.

He does not stay in business with my purchases of $1-5 CDs and DVDs. Good selection of used jazz, classical, and vintage rock CDs. Large sélection of new and used vinyl records. Fun to see what is available on a given day. The owner knows music.

One of my favorite shops in Chicagoland hands down. Pete is a blast to talk to and has helped me find a ton of music that I never would have happened upon without his expertise. The Old School is a true digging experience. I have been in at least 8 times over the past couple of years and always find a new stack. The mark down system is really great and makes prices for rare pieces closer within reach. Come here with plenty of time and don’t underestimate the bargain bins.
