We have been bringing Penny & Otis to The Water Bowl for years and can always trust that they are taken care of with such love! We appreciate the flexibility they have shown us. Kathy & the team are always so friendly with us and the doggies. Highly recommend if you need boarding or day care for your furry loved ones!

We stopped using the Water bowl when the staff neglected to give our pups their meds on an extended overnight stay. They cut 3 quicks on one of the dog's nails and she was bleeding when we picked her up. We asked to speak to the owner multiple times but Kathy never returned those requests or respond to the several voice mails left for her. It's a nice set up with the suites but the care is very concerning and the lack of ownership responsiveness is unacceptable. We have gone elsewhere. Hope this helps in your due diligence.

Pet lovers - I am sharing my poor experience at The Water Bowl in Geneva with you so that you are aware of how they are treating dogs behind closed doors and will think twice before using this establishment. We sent our dog to The Water Bowl to burn some energy. To our surprise, when we got home we noticed that he had a no-barking collar on. When I brought it back to the store they said he was barking when playing and he needed to be quiet. WHAT??? How can they punish my dog without my permission! I asked to speak to the owner and left my number but they never called. I am appalled that a doggie daycare establishment would want to keep the dogs quiet. What if a dog is barking because he wants water or has to go potty. Will definitely not be sending my dog here again. Hopefully this experience didn’t also scar him.

I've never had a bad experience here! My pup loves it. He gets so excited to visit. Both boarding and day visits have been so simple and reasonably priced!

My dog just got back after being groomed here. I have never seen a more botched dog. He immediately came inside with his tail down in shame. He is cut to skin in some places while others haven't even been cut. There were specific instructions given to them before he was cut to not trim a few places and they were cut anyhow. His dangerously long nails which we had mentioned to clip, were left untouched. After calling the employee seemed uninterested and as if they had done nothing wrong. If you want your dog to look like they have been run over with a lawn mower this is the place to go.

Personal friendly service. Some of the other dog daycare / kennel locations are so large, they often place one staff to 30+ dogs. The Water Bowl has been a wise choice for us. We used a different location in Geneva's Eastside and our dog was often injured and never wanted to get out of the car. Nevertheless, she seems so much happier, she jumps out of car and sniffs her way to door, tail wagging and gives belly to the staff.

Hailey does a great job grooming my dog! She has done a great job listening to how I want my dog groomed and following through. The staff is always so nice and happy to see my dog. They are also accommodating with busy schedules.

I have been taking my senior little dog to this facility for over a year and my experience is very good. I read all the reviews, negative and positive but my own experience with Skippy is very positive. He is excited to go there and scratches at the door to go in when I drop him off. She then is happy to see the people working there and wags his whole body when he sees them. He has some challenges as he is old because he has a heart condition and has lost most of his hearing but they adjust to that. His food requires special care and they follow my feeding instructions. He is sometimes the office dog which I love. They understand his aging needs and adjust to them. From my perspective, my little Skippy seems happy there.

Great staff! They truly love my pups and are always excited to see them. I'm not sure how other local places work, but i love how the water bowl pairs similar dogs together. I have a high energy puppy that always gets a wrestle buddy and my older wiser german shepherd gets to chill and snuggle. Water Bowl has been very accommodating to our needs and has a cool way of making my whole family feel special. From valentine candy for my kids to accepting last minute bookings for over nights and dog baths, the service we've received has been all love love love!

I reluctantly decided to board my two dogs for three weeks' boarding in September 2015 during a vacation trip. Preparing, we did a couple of overnighters and a few day trips to the Water Bowl to introduce the dogs to the idea of day care, overnight boarding, and dog socializing. One presented particular behavioral challenges for the staff. The Water Bowl staff cordially and diligently helped us address socialization. At drop-off, I was confident my animals were in good hands, and I did not worry about their health, safety, or general needs. Upon retrieval, I found them in good condition and, surprise surprise for me, very happy and comfortable, as if we had just dropped them off. Company ownership has changed since then, but some of the staff remain. I have confidence my animals would be well cared for again. I support the idea of creating more outdoor play time for the animals and enlarging their outdoor play space if possible. We paid extra for daily walks, which gave me peace of mind, but they were only 10 minutes or so, so a little short for my two. Yes, I would use The Water Bowl again and have recommended them to others.
