Good (though expensive) grocery store with great customer service! Highly recommend if you want a "Harris Teeter" type of experience and treatment!

This is a very nice store and I would never have to cook because they have lots of yummy food in the deli. Salads are plentiful I especially like the spaghetti with either artichoke or chicken and oils as the dressing.

Good selection (considering limited space), reasonable prices, but it does have limited space compared to other supermarket. I go here because it's next door to my Chiro and Acupuncturist.

Just went in here to try and find some strabwerry lemonade since i know it’s very popular. when i was looking, one of the staff was so kind to ask me if I needed a cart for my belongings, which is awesome customer service. I also asked him if he had any strawberry lemonade. He asked several other staff members, who were also all so very nice to help find a strawberry lemonade for me. They didn’t have it, so i ended up picking a raspberry one which was fine. but i was amazed at how dedicate they were to finding me a strawberry lemonade. Very dedicated workers here.

For the first time ever, I'm disappointed in the Long Grove store. Tried to order a small cake for my husband's birthday for tomorrow afternoon, and was told it was too late to have it. I wasn't ordering anything different or special, just a regular cake. VERY disappointed.

Great ready-made food. Excellent produce and meat departments. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. It's like an old-time grocery store experience. You'll pay a little bit more, but it's worth it.

The selection and the happy, helpful employees are what have always made Sunset Foods a pleasure to shop at. Over the years I have watched the Long Grove store degrade into a place of misery. The employees seem so beaten down and unhappy, one would think they are wearing chains under their uniforms. I always shrugged it off under the assumption of "They must be having a bad day" etc. until recently..... I overheard employees talking amongst each other months ago. Then recently I saw an older gentleman, Ron I think, being utterly rude and downright demeaning to a poor woman who works for him and it clicked; this is what I overheard months ago between these 4 employees. The management in Long Grove is ruining the well mannered, helpful, and friendly disposition of these poor people working for them. These are our neighbors, brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers. Members of OUR community who are being mistreated and slowly beaten down emotionally by management here at this location. I refuse to support a company who lets management treat people, OUR people, so poorly. These people, ALL people, deserve better....a better LEADER. I will no longer shop at the Long Grove location or any other Sunset Foods location until I hear of a shift in management; but I am not holding my breath.

This was my first visit to Sunset foods. I went because I heard the customer service was good. Three employees passed me without asking if I needed help finding anything which was fine although I heard from other reviewers they were very helpful and thats why I switched to this grocer... Had to go to the front to ask and they pointed me in the direction probably because they were stuck at registers..I found what I was looking for. Customer service at registers were still nice since they asked if I needed help to my car and being in my 30s (young and healthy not needing help) that made up for the other employees that simply passed me by. Weekly ads posted online make shopping more affordable and prices are really not that bad. They have brand names like sprite and cheez its which is cool. Will keep trying them as my main grocery store!
