New name Pete's Hard Stop is a friendly Tavern. Liked reading the history about Pete. Nice people. Stopped for drinks but will definitely go back for a meal.

Have been eating here frequently for last several weeks myself and entire family. Use to come years ago but moved and just never reconnected until last month or so. Food and service has been great. Brought a group of guys in on Sunday, even though they were out of several things due to the customer appreciation party the night before food was good Tara does a great job. Came in tonight and now with new ownership it was a trainwreck. No POS system had Bekah running around like crazy trying to keep things running. Then had to pay on a personal cell phone. My understanding is new owner is an accountant, would think they would understand security risk. I paid cash not I'm leaving my info on someone's cell phone. Not quite sure why some people think they can buy an establishment and think it's gonna automatically be a success. Sitting on one side of a bar doesn't mean you gonna be good on the other side of it. May try it again to see if it gets worked out if not it will go the way of Washy's in Waterloo. Too bad cause Rick did a great job over the last many many years. Hats off to Tara and Bekah but they can only work with what they are given.

As a Chicagoland native, I was definitely a pilgrim in an unholy land here. If your a STL fan, this is the place to be. Great food, cold beer, and very friendly service. I'd come back. Go Cubbies! Go Hawks!

Nice old style tavern. Tonight, 6 October 2016 they burned down. I just updated from 4 to 5 stars. The old tavern was always supposed to be 5 stars. I suppose I should of double checked my post prior to posting.

My wings were really good. Hush puppies were over cooked, when we asked waitress she said she'd talk to kitchen. At end of meal we asked again and all she said was she told them. Our salad and apps came out after our meal was served. (Not with, after) not sure if off night or if this is the norm. Cute place.

Good food, brake neck speed. Haven't been there in years I stopped by and picked up some food for take out it was great. We had cod fish and some sides the rye bread was awesome.

Burger was slightly overcooked, but tasted great. Slaw and fries were good. Beer was reasonably priced. Decent "outdoor" seating. I would give it a 4.5 if that was a choice.

Great food, service, prices and location. Love the look and feel. Could use more family friendly type activities, games, even if it's a coloring menu. Kids get bored there fast.

Just went there and our bartender, Tara, was awesome. She was one of the best bartenders we have ever had. She should be commended. Will definitely go back.

My son and I stopped here for lunch. Place looks amazing rebuilding it . He ordered the bluegill plate with cucumber salad as his side. Fish specials are available friday Saturday and Sunday I believe . He loved the bluegill and cucumber salad . I ordered the Frisco melt and fries. The burger was really good on the Frisco. Very juicy and seasoned perfectly . The fries were ok . Nothing great
