The workers are very friendly. But the store looks like H E double hockey stick. Need to hire more staff.

The Dollar General in Converse, IN has great staff. I have to qualms with the service. However, it is a hazard and definitely NOT handicap accessible. The isles were pushed closer together when they renovated the store and you can only get one cart down the isle. Constant stock is on all isles and on the end caps. My son in his wheelchair cannot even get into the store. This is a death trap for anyone with a cane or walker. I have complained before but it does no good. This billion dollar company cannot seem afford to hire staff to stock after the store is closed.

The store is crowded and dirty and they can't seem to keep much of anything stocked in their coolers. The store is well lit but with so many carts in the aisles all the time it's hard to navigate a cart anywhere in the store. The only upside is that the staff seem to be friendly.

Aisles are routinely crowded with unorganized merchandise throughout the day. This is not restricted to any particular time or day of the week, so you cannot plan a trip where this will not be the standard. Good for a quick trip for household staples, but not a place you want to linger. I wouldn't recommend this location if you have other options.

Customer service is horrible. They talk on the cell the whole time your in the store. They don't even put it down and ecknoledge you when they total your purchase. It is never a good place to go if you're disabled. You can't get your walker through the isles. There are always isles blocked from shipment no matter what time you go in.

The people working are very nice. But, the isles are cluttered and dirty looking. You can’t get down the isle for the cages full of new inventory. It’s frustrating.

Terrible place to shop shelfs are never stock boxes from the pervious trucks are still on the floor when the new truck is delievered. Staff is lazy rather read a magazine and stand outside by the door smoking then to stock shelves and wait on customers. Its really sad its the only store in town. I will go elsewhere from now on and spend my hard earned money. I really hope their corp office does something about it. Looks like to me they need a whole new crew. If i could 0 stars i would.

When I arrived the morning of May 18th (Converse store) the only employee in the store was sitting out front smoking (not 8' away as posted on the door.) She greeted me as I entered the store but did not bother to stop smoking or chatting with the local neighbor to help me. I left without anything... I spent $69 somewhere else... I won't go back!!!

Couldn't get to what I needed because there were stock racks blocking shelfs on every iale store messy. Waited 7 min. For cashier to come out of office to check me out. No one n store to help find things they were n office. I'm not going back to converse Dollar General. It never gets better only worse

Most of the people who work there are very nice! There is just that one person who is not customer friendly at all and treats customers badly! Since the remodel the isles aren't big enough for a cart and a person to walk down them at the same time but it made things more efficient. April and Mary really make the place nice to shop at!
