I go there periodically and when i go there is one of two people the manager which is amazing or a woman named shay! She definitely needs to leave the attitude or whatever may be troubling her at home. Your working with the public. I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt, or a second chance, but this is not the first time, now i have to speak up. Get a life and do your job ms. Shay!!!! Learn to work with people THAT'S PART OF YOUR JOB!!!

If I could give a zero I would. They have racist t shirts. As a non black shopper I was offended. If they don’t want money from non blacks that’s fine, my money is good other places. I did call the manager, she didn’t care. Bye bye Family Dollar.

I was greeted with a smile, but when asked about a product that wasn't on the shelf, she simply told me they were out, when I know there was more in the storage area. She was just too lazy to go back and get it for me..That's BAD customer service 🙄

This is the cleanest most organized family dollar I have ever been. The stores in Hammond and Hobart always have unpacked boxes blocking the aisles and junk everywhere. The Merrillville, IN store is doing something right. I will travel there again.

They run the store like it is their own special place, as though you"re invited as a special guest in their home. AWESOME EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME!

There was a shoplifter in this store, and one of the store managers (caucasian male) fought the shoplifter, holding him back when he wasn't suppose to putting everyone in danger, because the shoplifter could have had a weapon. This was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, and NOT WISE.
