They have an excellent breakfast at Hy-Vee. Their American an oriental meals up at the counter are really good. They are also a very good grocery store to buy your weekly groceries.

Hy Vee is a great grocery store to get what you need and get high quality products. Much quicker and more enjoyable shopping experience compared to Walmart or other large department stores.

Ordered Chinese went to pay at the kitchen so we could eat it there. Not a single cashier. We've been standing there close to 5 minutes with the people back there walking past and watching us. My boyfriend went clear to customer service to get a manager. He explained what was going told us we could have just paid at the other registers. Another 5 minutes go by 2 older gentlemen behind me we finally pay for our cold food and sit down. Why would I take my hot food that we planned to sit down to eat to a register that isn't close then go to back to where I started . I started choking there was a Hy-Vee employee sitting in the booth behind us and another a couple booths away. Not one of them came to help me not even the one walking around picking up trash. I don't know what would have happened if my boyfriend wasn't there. I think they all need to be taken back to the stairs and have them read the 10 commandments of working at HyVee. Maybe some training. No helpful smiles here. We will not be returning to this store. Probably any HyVee for that matter.

All the Hy-Vee's when they did a change over you knocked it right out the field excellent stores lot better you'll get my business guaranteed makes you feel like you're home 💯 present

Hy-Vee has been a go-to grocery shopping establishment for my family my entire life. The workers here are always very helpful, which is one of the reasons I've deducted a star from a usually very 5 star experience. The introduction of automated check outs has led to a lessening of employing real life cashiers, which is incredibly disappointing to me. If I wanted to interact with a computer I'd just shop online. Otherwise a good shopping experience.

Well it was good up to the point that I had an unqualified service manager attempt to help me...I had a mis-understanding about an item I thought was on sale,she went to go check it then instead of using the phone on her hip to let the service desk know...she went and assisted 3 different registers, stopped to assign breaks to front end people and then started to bag groceries... meanwhile I had cold stuff warming up....then when I did a return of the items i didn't want ..the customer service person insisted on taking my debit card to run... Instead of giving a cash refund of 4$ or letting me run it in the card reader in front of me....even though this was on the 4th of July....there should be better practices than this

Too expensive for basic needs. Fareway, Aldi & Fresh Thyme have better prices. Only thing nice are the employees and the great selection of items.

Love eating at their deli and Chinese. It's great quality and affordable. The Chinese dinner for four easily feeds all 7 of us! Also good customer service. I love that they hire other abled people.
