I love dollar general, but this one has an unusual staff. The store manager Amber is not very friendly and I don't feel welcome as a new customer to this location. I'm not saying Dollar general is not the place to go it is, but it may be worth your while to drive an extra 5 or 10 minutes to a different one where you can find a better staff and management I recommend Dollar general to anyone other than the emmitsburg location. My family and I went for some last minute holiday shopping, we noticed a clearance shelf. The manager then let us know they weren't on the sales floor, we said ok no problem then she preceded to stare us down and follow us as if we were stealing. I will never bring my family or my money back to this location.

I'm giving them at 3 only because I enjoy Dollar general very much they have reasonably priced items some of the time.however this Dollar general is very cluttered unorganized Messy the staff are very unhelpful they act like they can't hear you when you ask them a question their rude and they gossip while they're at work the only cool worker there is the young boy at the registerwho can't tell time because he can't see the clock from his register somebody needs to get this boy clock so he could see the time.
