Friendly staff.... Store starting to look messy. I get it.. No one wants to work. My issue.... I have a Earlham bank acct. Debit card transaction was not authorized. Chip reader with new card did not work.. Went and got cash from ATM. Paid cash. 1 month later...today, Same problem... Did not go to ATM again... Have plenty of money in account. Machine not fixed so left $120.00 worth of merchandise in cart for employees to put away. Will pay more at Fareway without regret or hesitation.

Wow! Great Staff- The shelves are always well stocked. You can always find a good deal. So helpful anytime you go in the staff will stop what they’re doing to help you. I’m going to make this my number one dollar general!!

Very neutral experience at Dollar general. 50% of the time it's a mess inside, but generally always has what you need. Great to have in a small town.

Where in the world was Andrew!!! The difference in service was unthinkable. Huge line, only 1 stressed out cashier. FINALLY close to 7 min after being called for backup, whom I can only presume was the manager, showed up. Bad form to only check out a few people then leave that poor cashier floundering again. I hope YOUR boss sees this, you are not above doing your job, backup cashier.

I really enjoy the variety and low prices, now conveniently located in the town I live in. I don't care to travel to other towns just to get one or a few items. Very convenient, affordable and a wide variety. What more could you ask for?!

when are the Dollar generals in Des Moines going to get get it together and stop plugging up their aisles with merchandise and get it on the shelves already so people can walk through the aisles like they're supposed to??

So much variety, decent pricing and helpful employees made this trip an enjoyable one. Actually ended up making friends with a couple of them. The only issue with that is we get to talking too much before I finish shopping and the wife thinks I forgot where we live. LOL

We have two Dollar General stores and Knoxville Iowa and it doesn't really make any difference which one you go to the employees at both stores are very courteous and if you ask them where anything is they know and I will take you right to it very nice people to do business with I highly recommend either Dollar General and Knoxville Iowa

A lady stocking shelves helped me find an extension cord and she didn't even work there. The cashier was very busy and he was kind and thankful for everyone's patience.
