We bought a compact track loader from Riggs in 2015. We tested it out for 40 minutes or so, moving a big pile of gravel on his site. After we were satisfied the unit was in working order, we negotiated a price we were willing to pay. We have had the usual wear & tear issues over the years, like track and idler replacement, blew a hydraulic line last year, etc...but are VERY happy with the unit and the price we paid for it at Riggs. Very friendly staff, and did I mention he delivered the unit for free, even though I was outside the free delivery radius? With any used equipment, you have the potential for problems. Riggs isn't a dealership. If you want dealership service, then buy from a dealership, but you are going to pay extra for it.

I talk to these people three times prior to driving five hours to look at a piece of machinery. When I get there to look at the machinery the steering doesn’t work and there’s hydraulic oil dumping out the floor. This information would’ve been great to have before I made the five hour trip there.

On Tuesday November 30. My husband and I drove approximately two hours to this business in hopes of buying a tractor. We had originally looked online at one model; However, determined it wasn't what we had hoped. After looking at other inventory, we found a New Holland t110 that we were very interested in. Since the only people there were on site were the office lady and the owners wife. After expressing our interest, we were told that the owner would not be in until Thursday so we left our number and contact information and were assured that he would contact us. Heard nothing. Called and was told he was there but outside and they would have him call us when he came in. No call. We sent an email. No response. Called back Friday. Promised AGAIN he was there but couldn't come to the phone but ASSURED us he would return call. NO CALL. Sent yet another email and got no response. Absolutely appalled at the treatment we received. Just a response of some kind would have been welcomed. I did contact Tractorhouse as well and they advised that I write a review. I find it ironic that one review praised this company for no pressure salesman and here we were wanting a salesman ( or in this case the manager/owner) to make contact and yet nothing- no phone call, email or text. Completely ignoring any communication. The only reason I gave one star is because the office associate appeared to have been sincere in trying to get her boss to call us. More than likely he would have made a sale that day, but that's hindsight and we will continue to look elsewhere; At least with a company that knows what good customer service means.

got a pretty good deal on a john deere tractor from here, and they let us work it a little on sight. but they also assured me that if anything popped up when I got it home right away that they would help fix it. that part is not true. tractor does run good, but I called them when the first use yielded a couple problems and was told the owner would get back with me right away. also not true. I have called 4 times in 3 days. only the office staff to talk to. can get a pretty good deal on a tractor here, but once you buy it, there involvement stops there. for me, standing by your product and your word means so much more than a little cheaper price.
