I brought my service dog into the store so I could quickly buy a birthday gift. I was accused of having a fake service animal and that my dog was used for the entertainment of others. Not all disabilities are physically seen. Not all service animals are even for a physical disability. My dog happens to be a protection dog. Very angry and hurt that a staff worker would ever accuse someone of that.

While they do indeed usually have exactly what I'm going there for, I'm not sure the new managers attitude is worth it. She is extremely rude and difficult to deal with, one particular day I had showed her my ID for ciggs and she literally chucked it back at me it almost fell onto the floor she chucked it at me so rough, I stopped it and told her not to throw it at me again like that and that I had paid alot of money for my passport and dont appreciate her attitude. And it's the same rudeness every time I see her, I don't understand why, and it's not just me. I like the new employees though they are really pleasant and sweet.

It is a good store centrally located right in the heart of Lynnview. They always have decent sales going on I have a nice size deals section where you can get things for a dollar or cheaper. It manager specials were they have discounted. A good electronics & clothing and makeup and the only thing they would need to stay in stock of is condoms and lubricant. But it is in the area where there's a lot of whoring afoot.

Able to purchase a family size bag of my favorite, CHEESY CORN PUFFS, they were delicious. I ate the whole bag in a record amount of time. Thank you fine folks of Dollar General for making this the greatest day of my life, Bless their hearts!!!

I went there for a pack of cigarettes and a sprite. I ran my debit card and asked for cash back, now true enough its my own fault for not paying attention to the sign telling customers not to ask for cash back, but the cashier that rung me up had an extra attitude about it saying "Y'all must not be able to read." I could understand maybe muttering it under your breath or just saying that in your head but not out loud and definitely not when I just had to point her on the direction of the type of cigarettes I was looking for and the fact that she couldn't read the pack and asked me to tell her what color the pack was. Smh Good customer service is definitely not her strong suit. Honestly if it wasnt for the apartments across the street from them (Preston Oaks) I think that Dollar General would've been closed down a long time ago like so many others. Gotta love people with bad attitudes ( rolling my eyes).

This is my neighborhood dollar store and my family and i shop here frequently and normally have no issues but on this day my experience was A ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE it was so bad that i havnt been comfortable going back ive been using the extra gas to travel further out preston to the other dollar store when i was checking out the cashier was extremely rude as i was asking about clearance prices she rudely stated well they had prices on them like i removed them or something which was very untrue the clearance isle was extremely messy and nothing had prices then after she completed ringing my items up and told me my total i handed her a twenty dollar bill and a five dollar bill the twenty dollar bill was an older bill so she exxamined it closely as over 6 people waited paitently in line behinde i explain to her its real its just an older bill as she marks it with tje counterfit pen all the way across both sides of the bill shes questioning me where i got it when i got it and when i reaponded with maam im not exactly sure when or where i got it she reaponds with wouldnt surprise me if its fake yall getting good with that sh*t i was lost for words bc i have never made any counterfit money so i felt asif i was being categorized as something i wasnt....a criminal! So she eventually puts it in her cash dwarer and pretty much throws my change at me tjen i say may i have my receipt please!! She acted like she wasnt gonna give mey receipt i was so pi**ed when i lefttjat store i was tearing up so that when i made it back to my vehicle my husband and children were very concerned to what was wrong with me and as i told the story to my family they too was in just as much shock as i was!! So after this experience they have lost my family and i as just about daily shoppers i would rather go without than to have to be treated like that!!

The door and website states they close at 10:00 p.m. but every time I come into the store after 9:30pm I am treated as a bother and told they are closing soon. Today I was hunted down ( as I was headed to the register) in the store to be told they are closing I looked at my clock it was 9:50pm i was out the door at 9:53. I had no intention on staying past 10:00pm. I have worked with people my entire life as a server and now a RN and I would never treat someone like that expecially someone who came into your store 20 minutes before you close I think before you declare someone a bother say hello and check your clock!!! On a good note I will say the store looks much improved and there are several nice employees!!
