This place is one of the worst I've been to in a long time. The owners just don't seem like they care, it's always poorly stocked and missing items. I work in an office near by, when I first started about 5 years ago people told me really bad stories. I went anyways because a lot of times it's not true. I was so very wrong. We still keep trying because they're so close, but this time was my last ever. A hair in my food. I have back length purple and brown hair, this is a short black curly one. The place was basically empty and they were missing a bunch of items like spinach, and the poor kid they had working knew next to nothing and they had him all alone. This isn't the first time they messed up our orders, from just poor quality ingredients to missing items, but a hair is too much for me. I even text their number for their survey like the receipt says, and they don't respond. ~Breanna
What can you say about McDonald's? It's fast food. You usually get the same quality from store to store as they are pretty much uniform throughout the chain. During rush times the food is hot and fresh, although if you order during slow times, you might get food which has been sitting in heating bins for a while. I don't like tepid, limp French fries, or dry burgers, so I always go during the breakfast or lunch rush to get the best meal. The prices for the meal deals will cost you about 10 bucks. That seems like a lot of money for a sandwich, fries and a drink. Or you can get a large soda or iced tea and a chicken sandwich or a McDonald's Double burger for about 6 bucks. If you want fries 🍟 with that, add another 2.99. I can't believe that they charge so much for potatoes, although most people really like the fries and McDonald's capitalizes on that fact. Are you old enough to remember when McDonald's advertised a meal of a cheeseburger, fries and a drink and change back from a dollar? I think it was 90 something cents for the meal, but still cheap. Oh well, gone are the days of cheap fast food. For a couple of dollars more, I could have a meal in a restaurant. I think most people eat there because it's convenient. That's my take on McDonald's. ~Blake
La Bou Bakery & Cafe ... I am told that LaBou is short for "la boutique boulangerie" by a special someone in my life who has lived in Sacramento all their lives that I trust completely with my life. This same person also introduced me to La Bou many years ago. There was one in Roseville (Main St./Baseline Rd) many many years ago that has since had many businesses pass through and not really solidified. Anyway, during my many travels all around California, there are many choices of eatery's. I look for Veteran friendly places or employee types that if they offer Military or Veterans Discounts, will get a 5 Star review, but the food and service must still remain high and satisfactory with my visit. I promise that even if all the above are great but NO Military/Veteran support, 1 Star is deducted. Anyway, on with the Review.... The employee (order taker) is awesome. As I walked through the door and was greeted with a friendly smile. Explanation of some of the specials and favorites where given. I selected the California Turkey. This has Turkey, Avocado, Romaine Lettuce, Roastrd Red Peppers, Cucumber and Mayo on specialty Walnut Bread. The shade of hue was a lite Purple /Brownish color of the Walnut Bread. The Bread was thick in appearance but with a fluffy soft chew to it. But be careful of the contents of the sandwhich wanting to slide out because the edges of where the crust meets the soft bread starts to crack and break away from it. The individual taste itself can be detected with each element of the contents as the Peppers where a little salted, a little Vinegary, the Avocado slices where a perfect.color and tasted that buttery consistency. While the Turkey, Romain Romain Lettuce and Mayo did their job to the perfect looking and might I add, tasty sandwhich. I recommend highly. The surroundings are reminiscent of old style Cafe with the classic Bakery Case full of baked goods. The place was clean and people working behind the counter. I will give this location (La Bou), Carmichael a 5 Star review. Everything was great and the employee allowed a discount for honoring Military / Veteran. ~John
I'm still mad from a few weeks ago, I did the touch pay with my card, it only had the symbol for tap and pay, then when I did it said tip added! Added 3.50 to give them a tip and paid the bill in one tap. I told him, he just shrugged. I haven't gone back since till yesterday. It was closed no sign nothing. 6pm when it says they were open on the hours. Went to different subway. ~Alexandra
