Best hair salon in Pleasant Hill, California (CA) 2024

For someone who I assume is the owner of a salon marketed specifically for kids hair cuts, the lady who cut my kids hair didn’t seem to like kids very much at all. Maybe she expects all kids to be happy to have their hair cut. My youngest is not one of those kids. He’s non-speaking, sound adverse & easily spooked in new places: all of which I told the salon via email before the appointment. The lady started spraying him without any warning then got progressively more rough and frustrated as the cut went on. She was not kind, patient or empathetic and my kids reacted in kind. I gave the place 2 stars because she did manage to cut his hair in the end & did a reasonable job on my daughters hair, although she was very rough and careless when initially brushing out her hair. She also smelt like cigarettes. ~Siân
