Best bank in Storrs, Connecticut (CT) 2024

After 4+ hours of talking to the branch manager about an issue on phone and in person. I was not happy with the bank anymore and asked for my account to be closed. The bank refused to give me cash only a check. OK no problem when I told the manager I then would be cashing it at the bank he said NO. I which point I had to remind him that checks are legal binding documents. He refused to cash a (from bank slip) an "Official Bank Check." And when explained to the teller who was an award winning teller in 2021 she said I can't do that. At which point the manager said ____ approved it. That tells me it is some type of bank policy not to, as the teller knew she can't do that. Just why. I don't understand and am scared that a bank manager needed approval from above him to cash an Official Bank Check drawn from that bank, that exact branch. This all started by the bank automatically flagging my bank account and even after the funds cleared and was in my bank account they could not give me access to the account. Key Bank would not or worse could not unflagged it after I provided everything they asked for. ~Benjamin
