We (small business owners) had all of our equipment in our unit. We went on a vacation to Mexico and came back with Covid, we’re sick for weeks unfortunately it affected our income and we became past due, we were told by the property manager not only did we have to pay the current months dues and fees which was completely fine. She wanted us to prepay a month forward. We explained we have some events and needed access to our unit and could only pay what was past due. She refused us access to our unit. I spoke with a different manager at a different location and he told me she was incorrect, it was month to month with no commitment or contracts. so why deny us access to our unit? Then I come in to speak with her directly, she stayed firm on paying a month in advance so I had no choice but to tell her we’d be removing our items this month (June) and finding a new location. Then she “tried” to tell me May wasn’t paid for which was not true, finally corrected herself, then told me the total of June was 220 something and I asked for a print out of all fees and she “tried” to explain them. I insisted on a print out showing all fee and to my surprise it was only 193?!? Seriously??? Scammers, maybe not the owner, maybe not the district manager but certainly the property manager!! So we called asking for her chain in command (District Manager) and she refused to indulge that information? Why because you knew you were trying to take money you shouldn’t from customers? I would suggest taking your business elsewhere until they replace their current manager.
They probably wanted to make it as difficult for us to get access to our items so they could auction it off, inflatables, foam cannons, concessions etc. BEWARE! ~Sunny
