6 Best restaurant in Elk Grove Village, Illinois (IL) 2024

I feel a little bad writing a poor review but today's order had us pretty disappointed. Ordered from Marinos for the first time a few weeks ago and it was the best pizza we've had in a long time, crispy crust, cooked veggies, etc. Today's order I must say would stop me from ordering again. I guess maybe a rush in the kitchen or some issues but just not that great. The crust felt like it was dipped in water, I don't know how else to say this but 1/2 of the inside of the pizza was so soggy all toppings including the cheese slid right off. The toppings were almost undercooked and it felt like they were cooked on the side then added on top. Was a strange taste and I have to say compared to what we had a few weeks ago, not comparable. The cheese fries were sogged through had absolutely zero crunch or crisp to be found. I mean they were literally wet. Really not sure what happened today but we were let down, we may give it another shot one day and edit our review based on our experience. This was a delivery order*** ~Kamil

My boyfriend and I just went in to get two six inch subs and what looked like the owner was bringing out a brand new batch of ham, and we saw how he cut the plastic from the ham with a knife that clearly had been used, there was a bunch of yellow creamy stuff on it and he proceeded to cut the ham in half with the yellow stuff on it, absolutely disgusting and definitely cross contamination, he then started making our sub with the same gloves he used to take the ham out . These workers need some training because they can get someone severely sick. Will never be coming back. ~Edith

Friendly environment and clean. Got the 2 dog special. The dog tasted fine. Though it is missing the Chicago traditional poppyseed bun and celery salt . Fries are nothing great just okay. I would skip the fries and save a few bucks. ~Piotr

This location sits in the middle of an industrial park so the lunchtime crew is better staffed. Fast moving drive-thru line @ 12:20pm. Fresh hot food this time. Guy was a little hard to understand through the speaker but got my order correct, and put two large handfuls of ketchup for my fries in the bag without being asked then gave me a receipt. Thanks buddy! 😁 ~Dustin
