Best pet groomer in Saint Jacob, Illinois (IL) 2025

Last summer we left our dog at Dog Gone for a short trip to TN. Our dog was fully vaccinated and had gotten his boardatella before we dropped him off. The place seemed ok. There were several dogs already there for boarding. I left our dogs blanket, toys, treats, and medication with instructions. When we returned from our trip, our dog couldn’t wait to get into our van and go home. Within 1 day, he started wheezing and coughing what seemed like croup or kennel Cough uncontrollably. He couldn’t drink or eat without choking and vomiting. We rushed him to our vet who confirmed the kennel cough. I called Dog Gone owner to tell her that our dog had kennel cough and she said another dog had kennel cough while our dog was there. She acted like it was no big deal! $300 later, and 3 weeks later, our dog was finally feeling better. I will Never recommend this place to any dog owners. ~Elizabeth
