I am a 100% disabled veteran. I only gained access to base services a few years ago. Wow! I can't tell you how grateful I am. I've visited the base exchange and commissary at Scott AFB three times. I mostly use the online exchange, which is excellent- no taxes, free shipping. I've shopped at the commissary a few times when I wanted to stock up on groceries. I've also taken a family member with me. The commissary is interesting. It stock many international items. This makes since, since there many military commissaries overseas. Therefore there would be contracts with those vendors, and our military force has a international population. I just ordered a new top grain Omnia leather sofa at bargain military prices, 20% off, no taxes and free shipping. No way I could afford one from Macy's or a regular furniture store. These services are premium, 5 stars! ~R

Went there at 5:15pm. They were pretty much out of everything and when asked if they were putting anything more out, I was told “no, because they were closing soon”. If you want to close at 5:15pm that’s fine but change your posted hours. Pretty lame to be out of everything right at the dinner rush with no intent to do anything about it. ~Justus
