8 Best convenience store in Gonzales, Louisiana (LA) 2024

Always busy do to the plant workers in the morning yet they can’t open every register, almost always their card machines are down and they only accept cash…you find that out after standing in line 5 minutes then have to hop in another WAYY longer line. ~Clancey

AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST! I was absolutely stunned at the condition of the store! I literally can not put into words what I experienced so I had to take pictures because it was that unbelievable! The staff literally acted like it was just another normal day for them. You literally couldn't use a buggie muchless even walk and shop because every row was either trashed or filled with towers of boxes! I get being short staffed and all but this was ridiculous! I witnessed so many people just walking out, as did I, that it would be in their best interest to close for a day and get it back together bc you're losing customers left and right with the current state of your store! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! The ENTIRE store looked like this! I couldn't even get what I needed if I tried and I'm actually still in shock that anyone would allow customers to witness their business in this condition! Embarrassing! ~Corey

This Dollar General was well stocked and supplied for the sales they had going on this weekend! Everything I needed was easy to find and easy to grab since us moms seem to always be in a hurry! Love there sales and prices always! There selection was heavy and it was nice to have options at such convenient prices! The safe was funny and helpful! Even after they rang up my two carts completely stuffed with household goods! Bless their hearts! ~Samantha

Great Columbian Tamales and Chicharrónes. Well, I think they are Columbian. I always forget to ask. Either way, they are homemade and delicious. Totally different than your Mexican Tamale. They use Pork Ribs and Rice. If you get some, be forewarned that they have bones in them and are quite greasy, in all of the good ways. Also, pretty much everything I need to cook Authentic Mexican food. Their dried peppers and spices are always fresh. ~Cole

I have never tasted Asian Louisiana boiled food so good... Plus the other varieties of food are tasty as well...6 piece chicken wings with fried rice and 3 pounds of crawfish please... ~Shannon

Sadly this is the 3rd Walgreens I've visited today. They took my 7 month old's picture for his passport but didn't know how to size it correctly. One associate tried to edit and used some spray paint feature to paint a black border white. They tried to get me to purchase a $16 passport photo that looked like a Elementary school project. One associate even blamed my son moving for the picture being the wrong size. That didn't even make sense. ~Melissa
