Dad was visiting from out of state and needed emergency care. Instead of going into Boston, went to the BI in Milton, hoping to still get high quality care for him but closer to home and without parking hassle.
Our ER experience was typical - lots of waiting - but staff was very friendly, courteous, and professional. Everyone took the time to *listen* to him. He is a frequent consumer of health care and can be an exacting customer, but he was very impressed with care he received.
He ended up being admitted for four days. It's a small hospital, and the rooms are small and double occupancy. It wasn't as bad as I thought it could or would be though. We never felt they were rushing to get him out, which was important to both of us.
We ended up returning after his discharge to the ER twice, on different days, and again had positive experiences.
Highly recommended if you live in the Milton area, as an alternative to going into Longwood. ~Trei
