Been here a few times since I live in the same city. Every single time is followed up with extreme wait times (understandable), and horrible treatment. This will be the last. Not that I am pulling a race card but as an Asian male I do not feel welcomed. Came to the ED today to follow up regarding severe headaches I’ve been experiencing for a week. Arrived roughly 2 pm and got checked in within 20 minutes and met my doctor John (extremely welcoming and nice). After waiting roughly 40 minutes, a student paramedic came in to hook up my IV. He was clearly inexperienced and took him roughly 10 ish minutes just to get my IV in. He spent a good 5 minutes constantly searching for my vein in my arm, flicking at it and obviously showing signs of struggling. He then preps to get the needle in, and he couldn’t find it so he pulled the needle out and said something about it being broken, as blood is leaking out. He proceeds to go grab a 2nd needle, and this time when he gets it in, he still had a hard time finding it and kept pushing and poking around. He finally gets it in, and from here I wait from 3pm to 5pm. This is not my first time having an iv, and I know the general feeling/discomfort. However this time it feels extra painful and after the two hours I decide to ask my girlfriend who was here with me to grab a nurse regarding it. I overhear the conversation with the nurse and she replied with “oh it’s normal to feel that way” without bothering to check on me when she only 5 steps away (room across). When I showed signs of being annoyed she does come in, and I explained to her regarding what happened with the process of the iv, which she responds with “I’m sure we all know what we are doing” in a rude manner. She then leaves which triggers me from her response, and roughly after 15 minutes I decide I want to leave the ER and asked to fill the AMA form. Another nurse comes back after hearing this and explains to me that “I’m next in line for my ct scan”. They kept emphasizing that I was next however the wait time was never the problem for me. It was about the treatment and attitude. I then strongly say I did not want to stay and she walks away and around the door I overhear her say “ok whatever”. I never got the names of these two, and I am disappointed I did not. My doctor John did stop by to confirm with me which I appreciated it, however overall I strongly do not recommend. I’ve been here two other times in the past and I received generally the same treatment.

Not from the area, got into an unexpected accident and was sent here. The most ghetto hospital I’ve ever been in my life. Staff isn’t attentive, very rude. Asked for ibuprofen 800 prescription, not even narcotics.. after an intense car crash and neck pain and they told me they couldn't even do that. They need a staff retraining because at the end of the day… everyone’s insurance are paying them to do their jobs effectively.

If I were dying on their front door I wouldn’t go here. 2 north might be the exception. 2 east is THE WORST. Nurses are rude. 2 east operators hang up on you or say that the patient is on the phone or not able to answer because they’re too lazy to help you. The nurses on 2 east will give medication just to sedate the patient. 3rd floor is dirty. Trash all over the already sticky floors. Doctors are just awful here. This place reminds me of Quincy hospital which had to shut down.

If I was ever in a life-threating emergency I would still avoid this hospital and go to South Shore and risk bleeding out in the car. Admins are horrible, processes are archaic. They refused to see me even for a follow up in any reasonable time even though I got a referral from the ER to be seen within 2 days (it's been 3 weeks already). Bonus, trying to contact Medical Records to transfer my health information out of the hospital was met with obstacle after obstacle just to be seen by competent staff. I will never ever use this facility ever again.

The perspective that I have from this hospital went from 5 to 1 I just got out of there after being waiting 4 hours and 2 naps which I was already feeling awkward the greeter asked my family member if he had a gun when it was a cell phone, on top of it she was on the phone and she didn't hang up she shouldn't be on the phone while taking care or talking to a patient very unprofessional and I do work on the medical field, sitting there for 4 hours 3 people ahead of us taking a nap because they never called them, and people they came after were seen at the minute they walked in, even a person that came on an ambulance was waiting on the waiting room which I find that strange, because when you are transported by ambulance they bring you right, the whole thing was a joke and they were not that busy,at all making the patients wait to discouraged them so they leave, Milton Hospital you're and your staff are a joke and very unprofessional you're resembling a very poor service, what a shame in a wealthy town and with that poor service. Shame on you!!!!

Dad was visiting from out of state and needed emergency care. Instead of going into Boston, went to the BI in Milton, hoping to still get high quality care for him but closer to home and without parking hassle. Our ER experience was typical - lots of waiting - but staff was very friendly, courteous, and professional. Everyone took the time to *listen* to him. He is a frequent consumer of health care and can be an exacting customer, but he was very impressed with care he received. He ended up being admitted for four days. It's a small hospital, and the rooms are small and double occupancy. It wasn't as bad as I thought it could or would be though. We never felt they were rushing to get him out, which was important to both of us. We ended up returning after his discharge to the ER twice, on different days, and again had positive experiences. Highly recommended if you live in the Milton area, as an alternative to going into Longwood.

I called today to speak with the President Richard Fernandez at BID Milton but got Amanda’s voice mail. Not sure what Amanda’s role is at BID Hospital Milton. But got voice mail. the reason I called was to find out the process for submitting a grievance to the President. But very soon after leaving a message for Amanda I received a letter via US mail from Maureen Burns-Johnson, Director of Patience Experience, that was in response to a grievance I had NOT YET submitted. So Maureen Burns-Johnson wrote a letter, responding to a grievance I had not yet filed. Is she clairvoyant? Not only did she respond to a grievance I had not filed. She outlined in her letter that the care I received was excellent. I am confused what is it that she investigated. She had not read my very painstakingly detailed grievance, had not discussed with the the grievance I have not yet submitted and was not there in the ER holding my hand during my stay in Milton ER. Am I truly in twilight zone. I have four pages of details of how horrible my care was. But since she and never talked about the details in my grievance, how or what did she investigate? this is wild. Her title is Director of Patient Experience but actually she the one who makes sure everything is swept under the rug as if it never happens. so even though her name is mentioned MANY times in the posts on Facebook for BID Milton as the go to person for solving issues, she isn’t. I plan on submitting my grievance to unbiased agencies, Attorney General, Elder Abuse and so on. I think she should be explaining her actions to professionals who will see right through her. Really, ask yourself how someone could investigate a grievance that was never filed? Amazing?

My husband was brought in today as by ambulance. His nurse Katryna was extremely helpful and kind. She was also tender and made sure my husband was comfortable. Also ED Tech Gregory was patient and professional. He didn’t seem upset or annoyed which left a great impression. Bravo to these two essential workers!

They neglect their Spanish and black patients. They moved all of us out of our rooms to put us in the hallways, Nobody ever knows where my nurse is, Every time I ask someone if they can call the doctor for me they never bring him by. Haven’t ate in 8 hours I had to argue with the nurse in charge in order for me to get some good. Would not come back here

Hello , I just left Milton hospital after sitting there 3 hours waiting to be seen, for 2 hernias, last night I coughed and felt something explode like feeling at my groin. Googled it and it had same symptoms I had felt for a groin hernia, now I watched people come in after me and get seen before me. I just like to know why the head of emergency seems it fitting to help out people who are walking with no issues and I can't even lift my leg up., also at my age it's not advisable to not take a hernia seriously. I will never submit myself to the Milton Hospital emergency room ever.they were completely unfair with the way things were handled.
