I came across Matador pizza while out on a long distance bike ride. It's about a 20 minute drive from my house, but I am ALWAYS in search of good pizza. I read the previous reviews and it sounded like a solid, family owned pizza place. When I called to place my order I let them know I had never ordered from them. Their team member was very helpful talking me through their menu options. I got there a little early, but my pizza was out on time, and it appeared to be a pretty busy evening for them. They were very courteous at the counter and I appreciate that the staff was wearing hair nets and the kitchen looked very clean. Thank you for that!!! I got my pizza, the Matador, and headed home. The pizza looked and tasted great!! If I compare the cost, which some reviewers have, it is slightly more than what I might pay at a chain restaurant. But for me, it was well worth it! I love supporting local businesses and frankly, the team was awesome and the pizza was too!!! I will be going back for their deep dish soon!!! ~John

2 young ladies were behind the counter. I was the only person in line and i guess neither of them wanted to wait on me. It took about 3 minutes before one of them even asked what i wanted. Of course she had an attitude. A guy came in afterwards and was done the same way. He looked at me and said wow they are letting us know they don't want to wait on us. Guess they don't realize that people like us keep them in business. Will not go again and will let everyone i know not to go there. ~Dqueen
