I will never deal with this business again. On 8/29 I went to US 27 Auto to look at the cars they had available. I was interested in a Buick Rendezvous, but they were closed. They had an after-hours number, which I called and spoke to Kim. Kim was very nice and friendly. She offered to come in the next day (8/30) to let me test drive the vehicle. We came in for the test drive and I was really interested in the car, but wanted to take it to my mechanic to be sure that there were no issues. There was a noise in the rear right area when I braked and turned right and the AC was not getting very cold - those were the only two issues I noticed at the time. Kim was very nice about this and got approval for me to be able to do this the next day (8/31). My mechanic came back saying that the noise was being caused by a caliper that needed to be replaced and that the AC issue could be fixed with an AC recharge. He also said that in a year or so, I would have to replace all of the brake lines, which can be a costly fix. At that point, Donna (the owner) said that she wanted to take the car to her mechanic to get his opinion. She said that she was unable to get the car to him until 9/2 and that she would call me on either 9/3 or 9/4 to give me an update. I hadn't heard from her by around noon on 9/4, so I called her number and she did not answer. I called the office number and spoke to Kim, who said that she was going to try to get in touch with Donna to get detailed answers on what the mechanic said. I did not hear back from them at all for the rest of the day. This morning, 9/5, I get a call from Donna, but she only called me because she saw a missed call from my number - she didn't know that it was me who called. I told her who I was and that I was just trying to get an update on the vehicle. All throughout this conversation with Donna, she kept cutting me off and had an attitude with me from the get-go. She explained that they did a repair on a rear rotor to fix the noise and that they had to replace an o-ring to fix the AC. When I asked her about the brake lines, she said that neither she or her mechanic felt like they needed to be immediately replaced. I explained that I did not want to buy a car knowing that I would have a costly repair in just a year or so. She kept cutting me off and tried saying that replacing the brake lines is a "regular maintenance issue", telling me that "when you drive a car, you need to do normal maintenance like oil changes" - the whole time in a condescending tone like I was a child who's never driven a car before.
I would have been willing to work with her on the cost of the vehicle if she was unwilling to fix the brake lines with her mechanic, but her tone and attitude turned me off from doing business with them at all.
I told her that I was no longer interested in buying from them, at which point she AGAIN cut me off and said okay, thank you in a rude tone. I would like to make it clear that the ONLY reason I am making this review is because of Donna's poor customer service. She did not keep her word as far as communicating with me, had a terrible attitude; she was rude and condescending, kept cutting me off, and was unwilling to work with me.
I do not recommend dealing with this business. They will take forever to resolve any concerns and treat you like you're a burden and a child. Terrible customer service. ~Chelsea
