Best bank in Independence, Missouri (MO) 2024

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I cashed in some savings bonds for my great grandmother to help pay for her nursing home care (as her power of attorney). I was then sent a 1099 in MY name (though they were hers and put into her bank account for her care). I was then told to fix the problem THEY caused I would need to take her out of the nursing home and bring her in to sign. She has Alzheimer’s and is completely mentally incapacitated. Joshua Lindsey (bank manager) did absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue. Completely unacceptable since this was the banks fault. Do not bank here. Editing to update: once I threatened to file a formal complaint with the bank - the manager was suddenly able to fix my problem. Will still be changing banks. ~Brooke

Jamal was very helpful getting my son started an account. He went above and beyond writing down what my son can do when he turns 18 to get his credit score up to 750 in a year. He was very friendly and accommodating. My 8 year old daughter said she was going to tell his manager that he needs an upgrade 😂 (raise). His manager wasn’t here to talk to though.
