Best pharmacy in Independence, Missouri (MO) 2024

Switched all of our prescriptions to this pharmacy to save us time since it’s close to the house. What a joke. A member of my family has a consistent script on a 3 month rotation and they have never once had it available when it’s due. They have yet to get an order correct and we’ve gone to them for years. Scripts take hours to become available for pickup. I understand people have bad days, but nobody has this many on accident. Really tired of the laziness. ~Caleb

Horrible experience….I’ve currently relocated back to KC for a job and insurance doesn’t kick in until September 1. I chose price chopper because I used to use the one in the north land and never had issues. This pharmacy doesn’t take Good Rx for any prescriptions. They are also not owned by Price Chopper and are an independent pharmacy. Immediately transferred my prescription to Costco. Way cheaper even for the cash price and they take Good Rx. ~Steven

The pharmacy located within the Independence Costco does a great job of taking care of my prescriptions. The techs are courteous and professional. They do their best to move things along without you feeling pushed through the process. The techs or the pharmacist come across as eager to answer any questions I may have about my medications or anything related to the dispensing of the prescription. I think the average turn around time for my particular prescription probably averages under 45 minutes from handing over the script to receiving the medicine. There's been a couple longer waits but these are by far the exception and not the rule. - - - One earlier reviewer who gave a very low rating complained about the pharmacy needing to see ID though she had been in the system for years. These are the people I sometimes have the misfortune of being behind in line when I go to the pharmacy. Despite the fact they have been buying this "normal" prescription from this pharmacy "for years" they can't seem to come up with what is needed to satisfy the transaction. I hope they didn't drive to the pharmacy without their drivers license if that is the form of ID in question. Your ID is the most basic thing you carry. How many times have they asked for your ID in the past? How many times do you keep not bringing it? - - - I'm glad to hear this person's complaint because it tells me this Costco pharmacy is conscientious about the service it provides. Drugs are dangerous if dispensed incorrectly. They need to go only to the person they are prescribed for. With people frequently changing insurances and medical providers knowing who's who can get very complicated and confusing. Bravo for checking IDs! - - - To sum up, this is a good pharmacy. And if you are a responsible person who is committed to maintaining some degree of routine and discipline in your life - like carrying up-to-date personal identification - you will likely be very satisfied with the service this pharmacy provides, much like I have. - - - Thank you, Independence Costco pharmacy.
