Jr's Convenience

Omg! I just witnessed a special sort of stupid from a bad woman customer,! Good for the owner! A woman was told not to scratch her lotto ticket on the glass counter with food under it, she asked why. When he explained 5 times there is food and its glass she didn't care, one of her excuses was there are a few scratches already on the glass counter. Classic! I am sure if she has a glass table at her home and someone just started scratching with a key on it and the person said your table is old,she would except it and say ok. There is a reason that stores have a lottery table and no store with glass counter or not will except someone scratching at the cash register counter where food is put. Go back under you rock at your I can only guess messy place you call home. ~Brandon

Hannaford Supermarket

Stopped in to get a jug of cow's milk. They have an interesting selection of ice cream treats, including special ice cream sandwich flavors from Hood, like double chocolate, and strawberry, and cookies and cream. Prices were a bit higher here than at some other local groceries but it is clean and has variety. ~Helen

East Derry General Store

It’s really unclear why the recent reviews are so horrid. Really people? Firstly the food is rock solid. Sure there’s some stuff on the menu that’s a stretch for some folks but you’ll get that anywhere. The pizza and subs are reliable, the chicken never fails, and the wings always hit the mark. Secondly it caters to the specific desires of every craft beer nut out there. While not my speed personally I have witnessed enough pretentious debates over which four pack from a LOCAL business should be chosen—and those folks come from far off. I know one person that makes the hour drive just for the beer. Most of all the owner is extremely busy but always does his best to do right by the customer. In the past ten years I’ve watched this business flourish and become a staple of the community. Expanding the drink selection, broadening the kitchen, and adding a full on tavern too. Net net: Definitely worth the try or becoming hooked on for a weekly family takeaway. ~Simon
