Best supermarket in Schroon Lake, New York (NY) 2024

We were in Schroon camping for the week. Tops' pricing is better and the produce quality beats the Walmart in the town next door... HOWEVER for those of you who aren't familiar with Tops, please note that you will not receive the sale (member) price unless you sign up for their points card. The cashier did not inform us of this technicality and, as a result, we paid an extra $19 for our groceries (indicated on the receipt). We asked the cashier if she could refund our purchase and start over but she declined. I don't know about you but $20 is considerable in this financial climate. Our total bill was $76... we paid 25% more than we should have. ~Patricia
