Our family loves Saratoga Apple! We have been apple pickin here for about 4 years now and we've never been disappointed. It wasn't exactly busy but there were quite a few people, thankfully the orchard is big enough that it was still quiet, calm and fun for us. It is a little smaller than other orchards in the area. It doesn't have any playground equipment, farm animals, mazes or any other activity. We did have some trouble navigating with the provided map this year though, we were looking for Gingergolds or any gold variety apple (on their Facebook page it was posted that they opened u-pick for Gingergolds) but we couldn't find any at all until we went to get donuts and there were a few inside the shop. So we didn't get any. This orchard is absolutely beautiful and obviously well-kept. The donuts are always fresh and delicious, we buy a dozen since that's the limit but if we could order more then we definitely would. The one and only thing that I don't like about this orchard is that you have to pay for a bag regardless of whether or not you want to pick apples. Example: we wanted to buy two large ("adult" size) bags for apples, one for each of my children because my husband and I were just going to watch them and take pictures of them picking apples. That's not allowed here so we had to buy two smaller bags and two bigger bags, so we will be eating/baking/candying/crafting with apples for weeks (maybe months) but if we had a choice there's no way we would've brought home that many apples. Since we had to pay for the apples anyways though we definitely weren't leaving without them. My family will continue to visit Saratoga Apple for the u-pick seasons. It can provide a nice, fun family experience. ~Ashley
