Excellent customer service!!!
At Famous Footwear in Aurora I purchased $80 Asics running shoes for my daughter on August 3, 2022 for her to wear for cross country practices & meets. She doesn’t wear them to school or for play, just cross country.
She came home today with these holes in the shoes. I called Asics, their policy is to fill out the online warranty form, wait 3-5 business days for a possible approval & then receive an online credit to purchase another pair to be delivered in another 3-5 business days.
She has daily practice & 2 meets this week and it didn’t seem she could go that long in these shoes.
I called the store and spoke with the assistant manager Chris. He explained that store policy doesn’t allow returns or exchanges of shoes that have been worn, but if I couldn’t get anywhere with Asics, to bring them into the store and he would see what he could do.
I did call Asics back with the same results.
I brought the shoes into the store and Chris couldn’t have been more understanding or helpful. He agreed that 5week old shoes shouldn’t be showing that kind of wear & tear and fully refunded my purchase, even applied a coupon for me to purchase another pair for her. As assistant manager he has the discretion to make exceptions to policy when warranted.
