Dari Market

My mom who was recovering from a broken hip came into the store to buy lunch and use the restroom. Although I’ve used the bathroom in the past this time there was a “ no public restroom” sign on the door. I politely explained and acknowledged the sign but asked if they could make an exception for my mom who was struggling. 2 different employees said no. (One was assistant manager) How disappointing that an exception couldn’t be made in the name of compassion. Shame on you. ~Sunshine

Gatehouse Pizza

cheese bread is great! only issue is the website connected to this establishment is outdated and hasn’t been taken down so the prices on there are wrong. i ordered an 8 piece chicken wing over the phone and expected to pay $7, as stated it would be on the website. i paid $18 and got a box of various chicken pieces. seriously irritating to overpay for something you didn’t order. they say they can’t figure out how to take the site down, so i guess just disregard that menu. besides this unfortunate circumstance, they have very good food and nice employees. ~Francesca

Just Move Fitness

I had the absolute pleasure of training with Wes Hitchko at Just Move Fitness for the last month during a one-month stay in the area and could not give higher praise or recommendation for a personal trainer. On a whim, I scheduled a training session with him and ended up extending to 3-4 sessions a week because of how fantastic he is, despite a 35 minute commute to the gym. If you are looking for a jump-start, structure, accountability, or a great trainer, Wes is your guy! Wes is excellent; professional, approachable, calm, organized, and incredibly well-prepared. He curated a full plan for me for the month and got me out of a pandemic, holiday, and remote work rut. Wes makes it fun to come to the gym and takes away the typical intimidation factor due to his warmth, engagement, and encouragement. The gym is fantastic; never over-crowded, a great facility, well-appointed, spacious, clean, and has a great staff at the helm. So grateful to have found this gym and had the opportunity to work out with Wes. If my travels had not taken me from the area, I would still be training with him today! Highly, highly recommend and thank you for such a great experience! ~C

Opportunity Barks

One of the things we are most thankful for this Thanksgiving is Opportunity Barks. It is such a relief to have a place for our dog to stay while we travel and have complete confidence that he is safe, happy, and well cared for. Seamus, our siberian husky, is very sensitive and wary of new situations. We are crazy dog people and it is NOT easy to leave Seamus behind when we go out of town. Whenever we pick him up after a stay at Opportunity Barks, he is tired from all of the play but he is no worse for wear. The best part is that the staff really seem to know Seamus. When we pick him up at the end of a stay, we get a complete rundown of how his visit went along with funny little details about his behavior and interactions with other dogs. It is clear that the staff have a hands-on approach and are really engaging with the dogs. They even dressed Seamus up for Halloween! I really can't say enough good things about Opportunity Barks and how important they are to our family. So grateful for Ayla and the team! ~Alexandra
