The hot bar here is not too bad for the price. I would prob describe it best as “cafeteria food.” It will bring back those memories of younger you mindlessly standing in your school cafeteria at lunchtime holding your faded green plastic tray that the very lovely and always personable lunch ladies seemed to be in pain as they slammed a medium sized heaping of whatever the lucky food choice of the day was for that day, along with a few more slams to get those delicious sides on your tray as you wander out of the food line into the vast area covered with white tile, and too many tables to count. And of course you would always have to pay your respects to the giant painted piece of Broccoli plastered on the wall for all to see and enjoy. Anyway, the food isn’t terrible at Food City’s hot bar. I usually go with the meatloaf that honestly is a little too crispy for my liking but hey, it’s like $5.99 for a monster piece of meatloaf and two large helpings of sides of your choice. I generally go with mashed potatoes and green beans. It’s a good choice if you’ve gotten burned out on all the usual fast food choices and want something that almost resembles a nice home cooked meal. I’m sure I’ll keep going back. Hope this helps. ~Adam
