My experience in store was good but when I received my bill there were multiple add-on's I didn't authorize.
The manager, Natalie, helped my wife and me in store. She was personable and knowledgeable. She appropriately upsold us by informing us of other products and services that AT&T offers. We chose to also add AT&T fiber and our installation was scheduled for the next day.
Ray, the installation specialist was FANTASTIC! He deeply explained how to get the most out of our new equipment. He provided the most professional and best service I've received in years.
I received my bill and it had $17 of insurance and $5 for the "Next-Up" phone upgrade feature added to my new line without my permission. Neither of these options were presented in store for us to approve.
Additionally, I realized that one of my other 5 lines had $15 of insurance added to it again without my authorization. It seems like AT&T employees are adding these features without authorization in order to meet quotas.
The most frustrating thing about the whole experience is AT&T's customer support. They say they can't do anything but remove those items for the future without refund. Furthermore, there is no method to send a formal complaint. The customer support is outsourced, unable to do anything to help, and a maddening experience.
The only reason I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1 is because Ray was awesome. ~Nathan
