First impression: hand sanitizer at entrance, lots of empty floor space, clean, clothes & shelves neatly organized.
Check out: 2 persons at registers. Employee 1 (E1)= checking out a customer & relaying a phone call she just received to employee 2 (E2). E2 standing there in conversation. E1 says to me #2 can ring me up. I proceed to register. They continue to discuss the phone call & how the male caller was rude so E1 hung up on them, I'll save you those details. E2 engrossed in conversation about it couldn't have been her boyfriend, "he's not rude." Me standing there waiting. She rings up item. She's still talking. I go to enter my rewards number bc she never asked. Both girls still talking about the call, I've swiped my card, done my part, little pin box blinking & blinking waiting on cashier. No joke, so am I. Her mask below her nose, barely covering her face, wipes her nose as she places my 1 item painfully slowly into the bag. Me in disgust, still waiting on her to finish transaction. Phone rings, she answers the phone. "Hello this is Burkes. Uh huh. Yes this is Chasidy......she hangs up. That was Mr ?apparently he called." Employee 1, she see me, I say, "Waiting on cashier," she makes E2 aware. Transaction finished.....I can leave.....nope, she takes receipt & talks about the 2nd call, me seeing the receipt wanting so badly to just rip it from her hand or tell her I'm from out of town just trying to make it home. Patience, patience.....finally I got the receipt & I ran to the doors not looking back. Excited that I've escaped.
Otherwise shopping experience wasn't too bad it was just the part where "I want to leave & I can't because I'm being held hostage, unwillingly by cashier #2." I wish them all the best. ~Andrea
