A pretty good German restaurant! We ordered pork shank and Bavarian platter - both were not on the menu but provided in the list of today’s special. Pork shank was great with the fried onion on top. Bavarian platter was also delicious with chicken cordon bleu, sausage and brisket. For the sides, we could order 4 sides, so we ordered creamed corn, green beans, glazed carrots and zucchini. All of them were great! The dessert was just so-so. The service was pretty good. Will recommend to call in advance and make a reservation. ~Da-Wang

Food kitty in Madison, VA is a solid spot. I like seeing more healthier options such as these cookies I thought I'd give a try. Customer service is always on point and the place is always nice and clean ~Adam

I just had to hunt down a roll of toilet paper so my son could use the bathroom. Fairly pathetic. The stall was incredibly messy with four empty TP tubes on the floor. ~Geo.

Once I got to the counter they were awesome. The only problem was that I had an appointment at 1:00 and didn't get called until 1:30. There was only one person working the window until 1:30. It made me late for an appointment. ~Pamela

This store has become a hot spot for Madison Co. residents. Affordable food and home goods. Staff is very friendly and get to know you. Like the new remodel. Store is also clean other than boxes to be stocked. ~Darren

A bit of a mixed review for the meal. Positives: neat place, friendly staff, I liked the chicken sandwich and baked beans. Slight misses: large hush puppies that were a bit dry, collards could use a little more seasoning. I'd be curious to try some of the other items. ~Vincent

I've been here twice after losing my confidence in a few other local places I used to go to. They've been fair, prompt, and courteous both times. My daughter had a punch list of things on her car to get sorted to pass inspection and they took care of the exhaust, fuel line, and whatever else (brake adjust) it needed. They promptly and creatively solved the problems in an economical way and got her car back in service. Most recently, I took my own car to them for an annual inspection. No big deal. But I knew I was going to get a genuine inspection in that they would give me guidance on things the car needed or would need imminently. I also trusted they weren't going to invent things that the car needed. They've (Kevin/Sarah) been honest, fair, and reasonable to me and I will return at some point with my panel truck.
