The produce department continues to be beyond gross. Visited there yesterday and there was brown slime where the unpackaged vegetables are placed. Same as when I visited two weeks ago and months ago. Does it ever get cleaned? I’m surprised the health department allows such. And don’t look too closely at other areas, because you’ll be shocked at how dirty they are. If you’re going to visit there (we only do if we absolutely have to), I recommend buying packaged food only and check the dates. When there yesterday, I also asked for a refund for a watermelon I purchased less than two weeks ago, that rotted three days after I purchased it (literally flipped it over to cut open and it was BLACK). I did have the original receipt and a picture of the rot, proving three days after purchase. A young man who helped me said “too bad there’s only five days on produce” for reimbursement. He ended up giving me the $5 back after I said I didn’t know that, nor cared - that he needed to stand by Bill’s product and reimburse me. He offered zero apology and just walked away. I also purchased pasture raised beef in a package, and was charged two dollars over the listed price - not the first time. There is a huge splash stain of something all over the wall where the kids carts are. Again, gross. Prices are too high, always have been, but it is a small town store, so somewhat expected. Noticed employees just walking around side-by- side, chatting. There needs to be more accountability and CLEANING happening and less chatting and being lazy. It starts from the top - owners and managers, do something about it! Train your employees better! They can’t be better if they aren’t trained and the expectations set and held to them. ~Toni
