I've been going to Chanpagnes as long as I can remember and these are the worst cooks because they cook rotten meat. People that work there confirmed this. Be careful when buying meat cooked and raw from here.

I have grown up knowing the Champagnes. They are truly an amazing family and a cornerstone in the community. I have been shopping here since I was a small boy. I have never had a bad experience here. On Sundays they have great plate lunches. Such a wonderful small town grocery store. A great place to run into friends and family.

After there power went out for a few days they cooked rotten chicken in the deli and it made me sick for a few days after the hurricane last year. Be careful when shopping here because they keep spoiled meat on the shelves and change the expiration because my chicken turned black when I added it to my gumbo and ruined the whole pot. They don't like throwing anything out and they don't care if it makes their customers sick. I know a girl that was in the hospital for a few days from severe food poisoning because they served her rotten chicken and they didn't care.

Every time I've been in line and they have more than 2 waiting, they always open another register just so we don't have to wait.
